Unbelivable disgusting mesage from Saco River Auction manager.

I am in Scotland and I emailed the auction early in December to ask if they would allow me to bid in their January 3rd Auction and if they could pack and ship the items that I said I had an interest in buying or if they could recommend someone to me. I had no answer to my message and sent it again a week later and had a reply from Jeff that said the manager is away and will contact me next week. Over a week later and one day to the auction and no contact from the auction. I noticed that I had been authorised to bid in the auction by LiveAuctioneers.com.

I purchased some of the items I wanted and a couple of days after the auction I asked again if they could arrange shipping or recommend some one. This message was again ignored. I just received a rude unprofessional reply and a demand for payment. I sent the message again very politely saying I would like to sort out the shipping first then I would pay in full by bank transfer and I added I want to sort this out as soon as possible and being polite and professional in your reply would be appreciated. I then received this unbelivable unwarranted reply, the contents of which are absolutely nothing to do with me

I do apologise for the bad language thst follows but I had to leave it in as it is the main part of my complaint.

SCUMBAG.

Glenda or Should I say Paul Beaumont or Hacker,

Here's the reality, I'm not playing your games!! I have done an IP search on your bullsh*t email account and not only is your IP address linked to numerous scams and suspicious activity, you are likely the same as*holes that hacked us using the name Paul Beaumont. Fortunately I was able to shut your hacking down mid auction scumbag before you could high jack the entire sale. I can't for the life of me understand why a useless individual like yourself would hack an auction simply to screw over a family owned business. Why don't you get a fu*king job and leave hard working people alone. We are trying to make an honest living and provide a service for our customers, while as*holes like you continue to hide in the shadows of the dark web in your parents basement. Get a life, a job and a girlfriend and leave hard working people alone. FYI, the United States Secret Service and The FBI Boston Field Office have both been made aware of every IP address ever used by you and others and they will be coming for you eventually. I personally cannot wait for the day when I'm notified that your asses have been arrested!! I, for one will be in the front row at your arraignment. In the meantime, I hope this email wasn't too fu*king RUDE for you.

Kindest, Warmest Regards

Troy Thibodeau

I expect that this Troy will respond and say I am making all this up but if this person has bosses or company directors or the US equivalent they only have to look on his computer. I have been told that this email to me will still be accessable on his computer to a professional that works with these things, even if it has been deleted.

Bidding on Internet Auctions

#2Consumer Suggestion

Thu, February 08, 2018

I'm sorry to read you have had a negative experience with bidding in an online auction.  A few things for you to consider in the future:

Make sure you are participating in an auction that is being conducted by a Licensed Auctioneer.  If you have a problem, you can contact the Auction Commission in the auctioneers state to file a complaint.

Maine licenses thier auctioneers and you can file a legit complaint here:  http://www.maine.gov/pfr/professionallicensing/professions/auctioneers/faq_consumer.html

They have a recovery fund and will refund you and sanction the auctioneer if they are found guilty.

NOT ALL STATES REQUIRE AN AUCTIONEER TO BE LICENSED! BEWARE.

Make sure you read and understand the Terms.  We are required to list them in detail. All of that fine print is there for a reason.  It's not our responsibility to monitor your understanding of it. If you don't agree or understand, don't bid.

If an auctioneer does not include shipping information, they most likely don't ship.  Shipping is a ton of work (times that by potentially hundreds of packages) and many will not offer this service.  You can reach out to a local UPS Store PRIOR to the auction and inquire what it will cost for them to pick your item up and ship it to you.

You assumed they would ship to you even though you tried contacting them to inquire if they would. You received no response over multiple attempts and you bid anyways.  I can tell you auctioneers might get hundreds of emails asking questions pertaining to an auction that have already been covered in the Terms.  It's a waste of time to try and answer them all when the information is already listed. Terms are specified for a reason.

Most auction companies are very small businesses.  They are far away from a Christies type of House.

I personally do not ship to anywhere in the United Kingsom because of the extreme taxes you are charged and the long delay in receiving your items.  Constant emails about why you haven't received your item or the outrageous VAT fees are not worth the time.  I'm not being rude.  I'm simply stating my many experiences in shipping there. Once your item leaves the USA, it's impossible to track unless you pay the ridiculous fees charged by the shipping company to "Express" ship.

Finally, I cannot comment on the email you said you received except to say that you should print it in it's entirely and include it in your complaint.  You must include all the headers and IP tracking details so the commission can verify it.

I hope you are able to recover your funds.

"Kindest and Warmest Regards" are not common here...
