I purchased the Gap service on september 26 2015 with safe Guard products International LLC when I bought my car. On June 19 2016 my car was in a car accident and it was deemed a total loss. My insurance company paid their portion to the lean holder in July of 2016 and the extended warrenty refunded me back the remaining portion to the lean holder. I was told from the Gap department at safe Guard that they willl not begin processing my claim until all the documents were received and everyone pays there portion (insurance and extended warrenty). i've been calling Gap since June to make sure they received all the documents and to check the status of my claim which they have been giving me the run around. first the claimed they didnt get the break down of the amount the insurance paid they said that the check the insurance was different then the cost of the car so i had to resubmit that to them in september remind you I sent them that document in July when the insurance sent the lean holder the check. Then afer they recived the break down settlement which was suppoely the last document i had to send to them they told me it would take them 3 business from the day the put that the document was sent. I allow 2 weeks to past to give them time to process the document. Then I called in October around the 7th and when I ask whats the status of my claim they told me it will take 10 days from when they put the document was received they told me the 10 business woud be on October 17. so on October 17 when i called to check the status they claimed the dealership contrat that I sent them which i sent in June they couldn't read the document that I needed to resubmit. I was told to go to a staples and have them scan the document to them. So I had staples scanned the document and they told me it would take another 5 days for them to process the claim. now today when I call them on October 20 2016 they are tell me that they denied my claim because the insurance charged me a $1000 deductible. the propose of the gap insurance is for Gap to pay when their is a gap in your claim after the insurance pays there portion to the lean holder which they did back in July now Gap doesn't want to do their part they charge people for a serivce they have no intention on paying they are trying to rip me off plus others and Im extreamly upset there's only a balance of $436.55 left to pay off the loan for my car and gap doesn't want to do their part. On my credit report it still show that I owe the lean holder over $10,000 and when I spoke to the lean holder they told me they are not going to take down that amount until the balance is paid off so on my credit report is still showing the orginal balance as of the day of the accident until its paid off that looks negative on my credit report and hinders me from getting credit.
