Lowest price guaranteed scam by orbitz Farmington hills, Michigan
I booked my ticket twice with orbitz in the month of september 2012 , PBORB5582625434 was the last and I was able to find the much lower price from google flights for the same day , same cities and pretty much the same time . I called orbitz and they said even if everything is same flight number is different and so we still have the lowest price for that flight number . I said I chose flexible dates option and I never specified the flight # while flying. The agent on phone said we can only give you refund if someone else buys the ticket for the same flight number and from www.orbitz.com only
So its a stupid argument , Price assurance will only apply if
1. Same time
2. Same Flight number
3. Same booking website.
While it is marketed like this
We have the lowest price on the internet in BOLD
fine print for the same flight number and offer only valid if both tickets purchased from orbitz , Do not search outside market
