Hello Car Buyers,

I live in Florida and decided to try something different prior to leasing another Mercedes from a dealer in my area. I figured I can purchase a car for pennies on the dollar and save my monthly payments by just paying for one cash that might need small repairs. Please keep in mind as you read my report ; Prior to making a move with the sellers I made a decision to read other complaints from other customers on the RIPOFFREPORT.com for the sake of certainty and continued to move forward since all previous claims were about people not getting their deposits back, which is understandable lol.... I figured as long as I win a bid at the auction I wont lose my $500.00 because it would be applied to my sale. Even if it takes me 2 months to find a vehicle its worth the while.

Well, I won at the auction and recieved an email and a phonecall from a guy named James. He then tells me I was the highest bidder in the website but would now have to compete with the actual bidders that are physically at the auction and he will represent my bid on my behalf with other competitors to the "real seller" at the auction. Evidently I got outbidded by a buyer at the real auction and I was okay with it because for the moment I figured atleast I was close. I move forward and asked if he had any cars I can buy now instead of having to enter into a bidding war and he proposed a CL550 2008 for a great price. I offered to pay the full asking price and fly overnight to write the check for the car but asked for photos of the car and any descriptions of the vehicle..a carfax, anything. They promised to email me all that prior to wiring $26,000 to a complete stranger. They did not email me for days and ignored my phone calls- when I finally managed to reach someone they told  me my salesperson was at lunch but it was going to be taken care off. Run around bla bla bla... Another day of chasing down these guys and they tell me the same thing.. Another day goes by and after a bunch of excuses I guess they felt bad and figured they couldnt dodge me and put me on hold for 10 minutes. Then they tell me," hey we just sold your car man Im sorry!!! It reminded me of the movie Boiler Room and it then hit me---I just got jipped. The car never existed. I decided to go to the dealer the same day and got the car at the end of the day and decided Ill get my $500 back expecting some sort of catch to it I decided to read their refund policy. It clearly states that they are not sellers but an intermediary and would charge you $500 for a good faith deposit and if you cancel it would take 60 days to refund. Thats fine, but then this is the catchy part. There is a $40.00 bid fee so if you entered into this auction website where you may easily bid over 10 times to win an item you already lost $400.00 plus the $120 for the 60 day membership so you actually lost over $500. You lose all your money. Bottom line. And even if you win your bid you dont get awarded a car. And even if you dont have to bid because the car is for sale on the buyitnow option - the car might not exist on their lot. The companies main income is by these memberships not selling cars. They only have 12 employess and an answering machine that sounds like a freaking robot. Your best bet is going direct to the insurance company or save the brain damage and go direct to the dealer. Good luck and I hope this helps you all.
