I bought my LNT4669 TV for $2000 less than 2 years ago.



This TV worked fine until it made clicking sound and delaying the tv to power on.  First week, it took 10-20 seconds to turn the tv on than it went worse by day.  Now the TV acutally won't power up at all.  I did some research on the web site and found that lots of people having the same issue.  My TV is out of warrenty where Samsung said they can't do anything about the problem....  If this is happening to lots of people, samsung should recall the product back to get repaired...  Any how, so I have approched technician and they told me that it would take $400 to fix my TV.. wow... thats lots of money..  So I have decided to open the TV up myself.  I do have little knowledge about components so I did removed the back panel and the shield that protects the power supply of this monitor.  Wow.. I already noticed 2 of the capacitors were blown which caused the tv to not operate correctly...  Capacitor lasts very very long time unless the circuitry is designed poorly or simply samsung is using VERY CHEAP quality capacitors.  The value of this capacitor is 2200uf(Value), 10v(voltage this cap can hold), at 105c(max temp this cap can handle).  In my honest opinion after looking at this issue, I will never ever buy another Samsung product again.. I will rather choose Sony, Toshiba or even LG over Samsung.  In my experience, Samsung has poor quality product that will rip off consumers in short time after the warrenty is expired.  And yes, where Samsung actually earns money by selling parts and service to out of warrenty people like me.
