It is true that the rings were purchased from Sanders Jewelers AKA Annapolis Harbor Jewelers, however some of the other facts stated are not true. It is a known fact that 98% of ALL metals scratch. Platinum however durable is a malable metal and the extentsive scratches are called a patina. Platinum is one of the purest and finest metals used in jewelry especially bridal jewelry. For more platinum information go to www.PGI.com or org. We offered a replacement ring and the customer refused the replacement. As for the person who sold the rings to the Husband, she was let go and is working for Time Piece Jewelers in Edgewater, Bowie or Laplata, Maryland. In addition the ring was sent to the manufacture of the ring and they responded with a letter stating the ring was severally abused by the consumer and the shape of the ring was due to the finger size of the wearer. As for the allegations of abusing the fine men and women of the US military, both my brother and father served our country and my brother continues serving as a commander of the Washington DC Sea Cadets. In the case of the husbands wedding ring. I would like to know who did the appraisal. If you can buy mens Platinum wedding rings for $75.00 I know several hundred jeweler that would like to buy some. As for the store merchandise credit issued under the buyer's name as per our policy clearly imprinted on the receipt and accepted by the buyer with his signature, clearly states that a store credit will be issued for all merchandise returned to the store and according to MD law are good for one (1) year. The store closed in 1997 when my parents retired. The store that is on the top of the complaint is not the store the purchase was made and had no connection other than the name. I was trying my best to satisfy Ms. Bensch, however, she was not willing to cooperate and it seemed that is was more of buyer's remorse than a quality issue. As for the Quote nasty letter. I must admit that I was tired myself of the phone calls, letters, faxes etc. by a person to whom was unreasonable. I think that everyone has a threshold for people that think that they are always in the right and that everyone else is wrong and that everone is out to get them. It is a facts that people will only hear or listen to what they think is important and tend to misunderstand what is actually being said. It's like the third or fourth time a joke is told the whole punch line changes. It is our best intentions to sell and service the finest name brands in the jewelry industry and I believe that when people buy anything they should understand what they are purchasing and to never be afraid of asking for more information or getting written information from the sales person , store or organizations that can help. Respectfully submitted, Sanders Jewelers 4151 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122
