Sanford Brown Institute Dont waste your money this school is a scam!! Trevose Pennsylvania
First off I went to this school wanting to go to ultrasound and was told I need to take medical assistanting first and that I could go right into the ultra sound program afterwards. The reps were pushy and they failed to say that if you are they for a certain amount of time you can get a refund back and they dont care if you have hate blood they say everyone does. If i would have known that this school was going to be like this i would have spent my money else where. I had ended up dropping out 3 months in, after I couldnt take things anymore. Out of all the teachers I had 2 classes I really felt the teachers educated us.
After graduating from this school 3 years later we were told you could apply to be a teacher. The teachers are not teachers at all the have no idea how to teach a class, if you have a problem with a teacher and many (I mean like the whole class plus more)have problems with a teacher they do nothing about it saying they are short staffed. There is no security in this school anyone can just walk in, teachers are late to class, student in the hallways and classroom talk about how they hate the school, no homework, no classwork from some teachers. I thought I was going to get an education here, but I was wrong. There is no exam to get in, as long as you can pay for the school and you can pay for the addmission fee you can attend this school!! Its such a joke. I eneded up dropping out I couldnt take it anymore. Teachers have to teach all multiple subjects not just the same one, so you might get a teacher that has no idea whats going on, the tests were easy and it didnt feel like we were challenged enough. If i end up having to pay the whole tuition since I dropped out im going to be up so upset, because i was there for 3 months and already owed 7!! I would recommened to anyone thinking about this school not to go. Even though you get done quicker and dont have to take a bunch of other subjects it is better to go elsewhere.

Stephanie, You should contact your state's department of education and speak to someone about filing a complaint. The department is in charge of licensing career schools like sanford brown. There are strict regulations about how they must operate. They may be able to help you.

With all the students coming here and all the tuition they were getting it didnt look like they were putting it into the school at all. The school always look really dirty, and some of the equipment didnt work either. In my one class the autoclave we couldnt even get to try it because it was broken.
