Satisfaction Services is a Mystery Shopping company that I had registered with in February 2006. They called me and asked me to do a shop at Myer Emco in Frederick Maryland to evaluate the salespeople and their knowledge on 2/10/06. I wrote out a well written report and submitted it. I kept a copy for my own records. They received the report and I waited for payment which I was told I would receive on the 25th of the following month. When that date passed and after another 15 days, I did not receive payment. I contacted Satisfaction Services. I received an email from them saying the report was "incomplete" and that they deleted it.

In the meantime, I have the complete report on file in my records. I am warning every mystery shopper to avoid doing any business with Satisfaction services and will also like to warn any business considering doing business with Satisfaction services that they are unethical in their treatment of "contract" shoppers. I tried mystery shopping as a hobby, and have a career in the health field, so have no concerns regarding them "black balling" me in the mystery shopping scene. In fact, I would like to make sure that every mystery shopping company know that this company is giving them a bad name.

I have been a shopper with Satisfaction Services as an IC for a number of years and previously I had always been paid.  In September of 2022, I completed a department store mystery shop where the agreed upon fee was $35.  My well-written shop was accepted.  However, I was never paid.  I emailed the scheduler about it several times and she gave me the phone number and email address of the owner, Mickie.  I have repeatedly called and emailed Mickie and she will not return my calls.  The website shows I was paid (I wasn't) but it doesn't even show the correct amount.  I have emails from the scheduler that I saved with the agreed upon amount of $35 and I have a screenshot from the website where it shows that my shop was accepted and I was paid.  I don't understand how a previously trusted company can do this to their shoppers.  I saw on the mystery shopping forum website that I am not alone in not being paid, several other shoppers have complained about it as well.  The number of shoppers on the forum is a small percentage of actual shoppers in the US, so I can only wonder how many other shoppers are being ripped off as well.  Terribly disappointing.  Mickie, if you see this, please explain why you will not return my calls or emails and why you refuse to pay me.  If you send me what I am owed, I will retract any public statements made on this site and the others I plan to report on.

We are a leader in our industry and in continuing to accomplish this our evaluators/mystery shoppers must be able to follow directions. All evaluations have a client specific training document attatached to them, covering all directions and expectations for that individual client. All training documents state that evaluators must accept or reject evaluations within a specified time period and after the evaluation is accepted it must be submitted to us within a specified time period of it's completion, in order to provide our clients with a "real-time" report/evaluation. There is also an email that is sent out to all evaluators after they verbally accept an evaluation. This is the exact email that is sent out to all scheduled evaluators; "Dear Jeanette Smith, We have a new assignment for you. You must log into our Web site and either accept or reject your assignment. If you do not log in within 24 hours of this email we will be forced to replace the visit and you will not be able to do the shop.
