SBC DSL Service ripoff unfair DSL service charge to old customer San Antonio Texas
Recently SBC offers the $14.95/month deal on the whole year DSL Express service "only for the new customers". Since SBC labeled me & many others as "unfavorable old customer", they charge us $26.95/month plus tax & other fee for the same DSL service. That's nearly 200% overcharge! That's a rip-off for extra $144 plus extra tax per year per old cutomer. Also last year when I called SBC ahead of time to renew my contract, the representatives said they will my request & confirmed that they will keep billing me the same $26.95 rate. Before the contract was due, I called them a month ahead to file request, then called again a week ahead to confirm. Later I found out SBC overcharged me another $150, about $49.95/mo for three months of the same DSL service. Later they accused me that I didn't renew my contract with them on time, which was a big fat lie.
