Do Not Buy Bedding From Sears

 

I purchased $3700 from Sears Florida Mall 6/5/16. I asked if we had any issues with the product how much time we had ,I was told 30 days. I mentioned to the sales person I was just at Mattress One and they had a 90  day return policy,she proceeded me she had a customer that came to her due to the fact the Mattress One gave the person a bad deal.She further suggested  should not buy anything from that company..

 

I proceeded with my purchase at Sears . When I received the mattresses I noticed it didn't look just right the top of it was uneven in a few spots,my presumption was it may be due to the way it was stored in the warehouse,didn't think much at the time. After a week or so it was the same no change,assuming I had 30 days I waited( 2 weeks total) then contacted the sales person that I was not satisfied.

 

I was told then by the sale person I had to contact them within 72 hours,which I was never told,so then she contacted the mattress company,they told her I had to wait 31 days before I could return it, a very strange policy. I told the sales person I wanted to see the store manager,he of course was not in so I was given an operation manager by the name of Chris..

 

Chris came to meet me I explained the situation told him I was not pleased with this process and told him I wanted to just return the item if he wasn't going to fix the issue.He at that time assured me he would do a return with no restocking fee nor delivery charge,but I had to wait till 31st day.This due to the fact that Sears has signed contracts with the mattress vendor that requires them to follow their guidelines,which Sears has no control.

 

When I called Chris on the 31st day, he didn't remember speaking with me,nor did he send me an email as he said he would.When I called the sales person she had no authority to do anything an apologized..

 

I'm still stuck with an inferior product with no one attempting to fix the issue. I further mention I'm a 40 year customer of Sears the customer satisfaction guarantee is no longer,I would never again purchase anything from Sears and now understand why they are one of the largest retailers going out of business
