I placed an order with SecretCostumes.com on 10/8/08. I needed to have costume by 10/21/08 as I was going out of town for Halloween. I received a confirmation 10/08/08 it said that the costume would be shipped Priority Mail 2-3 days.
The item did not arrive as stated. Five days later, on 10/13/08 I sent an email asking, Please advise when I will be receiving this order." I was sent emails to

[email protected],
[email protected]. I received no response.
On 10/14/08 I emailed the company again. Again no response. I tried calling the company. The mailbox was full. I tried the link on the website to chat with a 'friendly' customer service agent only appears to be a link, clicking on it gets you nowhere.
I looked the company up onlineat www.ripoffreport.com. There were twenty reports written about the Secret Costumes on Rip Off Report. I was extremely concerned after reading the fraud reports. I was also leaving in a week and still had no costume so I canceled my order via email the evening of 10/14/08.
The next day 10/15/08 I received the following email "We are sorry to inform you that your request of cancellation is not possible at this moment. This was the first email or response that I had from Secret Costumes in 8 days.
The charge had not been processed on my card and according to the online shipping link that the company provided, the item still had not been sent.
Again I informed Secret Costumes that I no longer wanted the item and purchased another costume elsewhere. They blatantly ignored my request then charged my credit card the next day 10-16-08 and shipped the item.
I refused the delivery (please see Post Office receipt) and returned the item.
Now, the company says that it doesn't except returns.
I have contacted my credit card company who are disputing the charge with them.
I am looking into how to stop these stealing scum!
