Select Portfolio Services Lies About Loan Modifications Salt Lake City Utah
Select portfolio services is a prescripted company that operates like telemarketers. They claim to be there for the consumer, same as OCWEN, they read from the same script when talking of loan modification. Never gets all the paperwork and continuously calls from various numbers throughout the business day. Send out certified letters with the same paperwork of the options that the consumer has to help their situation. With each certified letter the consumer is charged $6.40 which is added to the loan to further put the consumer in arrears and causing more fustration. This is only one example of the nickle and dime tactics utilized by this company. My mortgage was transferred from OCWEN servicing when the modification process was suppose to begin. At that time I had a $2000.00 arrearment that could not be explained but instead of consulting OCWEN to see if all funds had been transferred they contacted me, although they said it would be a few months before everything was transferred. Now approximately six months into it, the $2000.00 still can't be explained nor has it been staighten out, however; I lost two months worth of payments putting me two payments behind when I was supposed to be current. I have purposely be shown as being in arrears on my credit report since my loan left chase and went to OCWEN. Each servicing company has taken money as tho I have to pay them to service my mortgage.
