We just sold our home. It was transferred to SPS, Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc.

We had escrow balance. They refuse to refund back to us and keep telling us it is in the mail. They even send correspondence, stating that we will be getting our check.  We call and they say it will be here next week. No check.

 

We filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and we did get a phone call back.  Finally.  But still, since June 6, 2016 date loan was paid in full. (we did get everything back stating that it was paid in full) Thank GOD!  No refund of our escrow balance.  They even gave us a 50.00 dollar fee to that. But at this point we just want our money.  We received our Home Owners policy refund from Insurance company already, 10 days after closing for overpayment and yet, ,no money.  Funny thing is I am a licensed mortgage lender.  I do this everyday.  When I tell my clients they will get their refund in 2-3 weeks. They get it. Not with this company.  We don't know what else to do.

If the only thing you got out of my complaint was that I was licensed to do mortgages, you are missing the point. I can do a refinance for you, buit dealing with this company has not been easy. Robert, get a life.

 One thing that happens often is people come here and try to pad their "credentials".

As here you claim that you are a Licensed Mortgage Lender, perhaps you are.  But if that is the case you apparently have made one complaint with the CFPB and now have no idea what else to do.  Really?  So none of your Mortgage Lending Licensing Classes went over the regulations for Escrow accounts?  Not a single one of your classes talked about enforcement?  Not a single one of your classes talked about penalties?

Okay..perhaps not.  But then since you are again a licensed lender and this is one of the bigger servicing companies in the US, you must have had this happen with other clients.  After all if this is some systemic RipOff they must be doing it to everyone...right? 

So again you may very well be having these issues, but posting here as a "Licensed Mortgage Lender" either destroys your creditability on this post, or as if you are really qualified to have a license because in many peoples eyes someone who is licensed should not be saying "We don't know what else to do" after sending in one complaint.
