i have been trying to get select portfolio servicing to put my husband and daughter's mortgage on SCRA status due to his deployment to iraq in december of 2006. i just get a constant run around!

they sent me a letter saying that this mortgage was not eligible because it was bought after my husband was deployed. i told them no way he was deployed in december 2006 and the house was bought in july 2006. they first said some military website they check has him on active duty as of march 2006. told them no way and to check again and then they said they don't have him in the system at all!!! that's what i was trying to tell them from the beginning cause he is with the DOD! they don't list on the military website!

then she told me she needed something from his commander saying when he went to iraq and when he would come home. a letter from on letter head from the DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY, UNITED STATES ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY COMMAND, FORT BELVOIR, VA., just isn't good enough for them. tried to tell them my husband papers are classified. they don't care.

they are screwing our brave men and woman out of the little help they are entitled to! they are no better than the terrorist these men and woman fight every day!!! all so these idiots can be free to continue to screw everyone they can! i hope someone starts some sort of legal action. i will be the first to sign on!

saw first hand stalling to give scra benefits, sorry you are having problems, as I advised servicemember, need to contact JAG to get them to do something so that servicemember gets the benefits they are entitled to. sorry again.

I would recommend seeking the aid of your local military legal office. The lawyer will draft a letter and have you mail it to the comany. Now as for if you qualify or not, if your husband was active duty before he deployed, then you have no ground to stand on. If he was a reservist/guard, then you are legally antitled protection under the SCRA.
