Seminle PowerSports BAIT & SWITCH DISHONEST Service Department Sanford Florida
We recenty purchased a Seadoo from this company. When it came time to do our 10 hour service with their service department, I was very disapointed. We called & asked how much the service was going to be and were told that it was $250, since we purchased it would be 25% off, so around $199 plus tax.
Here is where they get you.
Upon pickup the bill is much different, $285. They charged $54 extra for the oil, oil filter. This service is advertised as a OIL CHANGE 10 hour service. Then there is a $10 shop charge.
We asked what that was and they said it was for towels they used during the oil change.
We then called a few other places to get quotes and found that most places don't do sneeky things like this. We found the same service for $187. Upon asking about oil filter and shop charges, we were told that it was included, even tax.
Next time we will be smarter. We figured since we purchased it from Seminole, they will not rip us off, we were wrong.

They need to be more honest. When people ask for quotes, don't sugar coat it. Tell the truth, bottom line. If they would have said it would be $285, there would not be a problem.
If company's feel they have to give different fees, than what they actually charge, then they need to realize, they are charging way to much.
Consumers don't have to take this kind of bait and switch tacticts. Have your service done with an honest place, where the full price is disclosed up front. I like a company who is not ashamed to tell it like it is.
