Below are a few of the many letters being passed around the net on Shannon's sales and trading practices.

She worked for a pet store Yes (AB Birds) as claimed in her answer to the other rip-off report on her. What she did NOT tell anyone is she was found to have stolen from the store and was FIRED. In a 3 month period she had her very under age daughter there almost daily (without the store owners permission) FORCING her to clean cages and feed. Birds, Eggs and many many expensive bags of seed mix came up missing. Store checks came up missing as well and were then tracked back to Shannon who had forged them.

Shannon has claimed she was not paid for her work at AB but that is untrue also.

Bird sold with broken leg-

I have been advised that I should contact you and inform you of a recent transaction with Parrots in Motion. Although there is likely nothing you can do to fix the situation I find it important to inform you of this complaint. I have already reported her to the Better Business Bureau but am contacting you as well so that maybe someone else doesnt have to go through this.

I do not have a great deal of experience with birds, although we adore our budgie we know now that all birds are very different. I was researching birds and thought a parrotlet would be a great addition to our family. I had researched and found that its best to get one thats handfed and has some training, at least for me that would be best. ALthough I had found some birds for very little I wanted one from a breeder who had handfed them.

Parrots in Motion offered a green one for $100 and a blue for $150, both born mid August, I emailed asking her if they were handfed and trained in which she said yes. I asked her if shed take less for the blue she said no.

After some more looking around I contacted her again that same week. She then preceeded to tell me she had been sick for the last 2 weeks so that the babies had not been handled for 2 weeks and they were a bit nippy but assured me after just an hour or so of handling they would be fine again. She would have her daughter work with the bird that day so that I could take home a trained handable bird, Her friend out of town had the green one but I could have the blue one for the $100.

I got excited and went to her house to get her. The bird stepped up nicely but I noticed the one leg was turned in. She appeared to be puzzled and then looked at the bird and said that the bird was just getting use to her band. I asked for some of her food as I had read that it is good to slowly transition food. Not sure if this is relevant but the food was full of cheerios and almonds and food that did not look anything like the cocktail food I later purchased it looked more like my budgies food.

I brought the bird home and researched having the band removed since it seemed to bug her so, there was no heat or redness or wounds so I was quite sure it wasnt injured. I aksed her if she ends up having any issues with the nipping or has any other behaviorial issues would I be able to return her she said yes.

Within 1 week the bird was starting to bite, I followed everything I read about training her started with 15 minute increments and talked to her alot, yet gave her space too. I coacted Parrots in Motion and they said that it didnt make any sense and asked when did I want to drop her off (I still have these emails) I gave her a day and time and she responded after that day and time and said she was working. SO I said how about sometime this weekend and got no response, once Sunday came I called her and left a message stating to call me, I then called back moments later and said name a day and time of her choosing and I would make it work. No emails no call nothing.

I wanted to get this poor bird to someone who could train her, I knew I did not have what it took to invest in the training thats why I wanted one that was trained in the first place. Maybe that was my mistake for assuming itd be easier but it ws definitely her mistake or wrong doing if you will to imply the bird would be fine and was returnable if not. In fact it says on her website:

Babies are weaned to Higgins seed, ZuPreem pellet-based diet. The health of babies is guaranteed. All babies will come Banded, with a Hatch Certificate, Baby

Parrots In Motion's Quality Assurance:

We guarantee our birds against Avian Disease & Genetic Defects based upon results of a Lab report within Three (3) days after purchase. We are not responsible for Veterinarian or Lab Charges. No other guarantees are given or implied. Any purchase will imply acceptance of policies. Parrots In Motion warrants that at the

time of purchase, the bird(s) are in good health. We will purchase the baby or bird(s) back if circumstances arise that you can not keep the Bird(s) or Baby any longer.

I received a bird that was not trained, not fed correctly, was not presented with papers and had either a deformity or injury in the past, and then was not allowed to return her as promised by her and her website and in person. I also have emails showing our correspondences before she stopped corresponding.

Good luck and I hope this information proves helpful.

Stolen Macaws-

On December 31st, 2006, I flew four (4) Macaws to Shannon Antor in trade for 1 Congo African Grey, 1 Green Winged Macaw, a pair of Parrotlets and a pair of Eclectus.

I have received the Congo African Grey and the Green Winged Macaw. She just sent the Parrotlets to me (a year after the agreement was made) and the Parrotlets are not the type that were agreed upon in our transaction. I was to receive a Blue Female Parrotlet and this bird was not sent to me. She stated to me in email that the Blue Female died the month prior, yet she did not tell me this until after she sent the Parrotlets to me. I have not received the Pair of Eclectus yet and even though many people have sent her information about breeders that are selling Eclectus, she has made no attempt to contact them.

I spoke to her Uncle on the phone, Sheriff Mike Mercer, of Newaygo County. He stated to me that Shannon is a con, a liar, pulls online scams and he will not claim her as his niece.

I also contacted the Kent County Sheriff's Department and they replied telling me that this is a civil case. Nothing they can do about it. Yet, she has sold the Macaws that I sent to her, so there is no way for me to get them back from her. I have asked her many times through email to send them back and she never responds to my query. Would this not be considered theft by deception?

Shannon told me that she had DNA tests done on the birds and that one of them was a male, not a female. I offered to remove the Parrotlets from the transaction if she sent the DNA report to me from Avian Biotech. I asked her to give permission to Avian Biotech to send the results to me. She eventually told me that it was none of my business and kept the Parrotlets as part of the transaction. This was only one of the obvious lies she has presented me with-in the past year. There are so many that I couldn't begin to list them all. I will if needed, as I have every email she has sent to me during the past year of me waiting for the Parrotlets and Eclectus.

The biggest lie she has told people is that the reason I sent the birds to her was because I could not afford bird seed for them and they were kept in a garage. Yes, the Macaws were kept in our garage. She failed to mention that we only kept the Macaws in the garage during the winter and kept it heated at a constant 75 degrees. These Macaws were fed healthy macaw seed, pellets, fruits and vegetables twice a day. I took great offense to her saying this about my birds!

I hope something is done about the way Shannon Antor deals with selling or trading birds. Obviously, my concerns are that she is doing this to other people.

Shannon is a very kind individual and is willing to help anyone. When my fiance and I were trading our snake to her for a couple of birds she was so helpful in helping us pick a breed of bird to take home. My fiance and I have become very good friends with her. She kept in contact with us when our baby lovie was being weaned onto seed. I am more than happy to say that our beautiful little girl is now in her new home and loves spending time outside the cage with my fiance and me. I'm still waiting on my lovies cage mate to be weaned in the next week or two. I have spoken to a few other people who have bought birds and trade birds with Shannon. All have had more than great experiences with her. Just because a couple of people have had a bad experience doesn't mean she is a bad person or runs a corrupt business. She takes extremely good care of her birds and her home. I was astonished by how clean her home is, as well as the bird cages. She spends multiple times daily cleaning and making sure that her birds are well cared for. I have a good feeling that many people are blowing their bad experiences way out of proportion. If someone really knows Shannon, then that person knows that all the rumors are false.

And because you were already in hard times Shannon had nothing to steal from you, nothing to gain, so taking you to lunch and giving you a 50 to 100 dollar bird, which is what they sell for at any fair was no huge sacrifice for her. But I'm just curious, how do you think her taking you to that lunch cancels out the YEARS of her theft and forgery? How is it her taking you to lunch explains why there are SO many reports form SO many people of Shannon's lies? It's nice you think you've found a friend, really it is. But that friend you've found so dear, has stolen and lied to numerous numerous people and is the laughing stock of the bird world. So Dar you cherish your friend and she will appear to cherish you back as well, at least until you have something she wants.

To Whom it may concern: I've known Shannon for over 5 yrs and she and her mom has been friends of mine. Last Thanksgiving her mom and her took me out to dinner to cheer me up. My husband has been out of work for 5 mo. We didn't have money for a turkey and Shannon went and got me one. Two days later she brought me a baby parrotlet and told me to sell it for what ever I wanted to and keep the money for bills. She than asked me if I wanted to do some work around her home for money to help me with bills. Her home is spotless and I know she really doen't need me there, but she is trying to help me out. She pays me an hour extra for driving. She's a good friend and her and her mom are both good people. Dar
