SHARP IS SELLING DEFECTIVE TV'S!!! NEEDS CLASS ACTION SUIT!!! CONTACT ME.

On April 2015, we purchased a 70 inch Sharp TV, Model LC-70LE660U on sale for $1,500 at Best Buy.

(#1) 8 months after purchasing, screen freezes & remote control not working, TV won't turn on or off, had to be unplugged from wall to turn on & off! Bought new remote, $22.00 worked ok. Thought it was the remote control that had the problem.

(#2) Then 4 months later, same problem, TV froze, won't turn on or off -- had to plug & unplug from wall to get it to turn on and to turn off. The buttons on side of TV wouldn't work either. Called 1-800-BE-SHARP customer svc. After fighting w/them for a few weeks, technicians finally sent out, replaced Main Board (Motherboard).

(#3) TV worked for LESS than 2 months, then all of a sudden one morning, turned on the TV & the screen was black, it had sound only. Technicians sent again to replace Power Supply Board & T CON. It worked fine, picture and sound was working BUT for only 2 HOURS!!

(#4) 2 hours later, TV froze, remote or side buttons would not work again, had to unplug from wall to turn it off or on.

(#5) Technicians said Sharp wants to replace Main Board again!! While waiting for the Main Board to be in stock, the very NEXT DAY, the TV went black with no sound!! Called Sharp, who was uncaring & refused to give a partial refund or credit for TV or for inconvenience of not being able to use the TV for weeks at hand, but just wants to replace with a REFURBISHED TV, from Lord knows where, or what condition it is in, which would take about 2 weeks to arrive, so no TV until then. Instead of giving a partial refund, they want to send another broken down TV, somebody else's defect to us, with a very limited warranty. This tells you how good their product is. This also tells us how they value their customers & value their reputation. They are the worst!

I've had 2 Samsung TV's for over 7 years and never had ANY problems with their TV's. In fact, I only tried Sharp because I wanted to upgrade to larger size TV's and Best Buy had a sale! There is NO WAY that a brand new Sharp TV, barely over a year old (still with the plastic around the top of the edges, no scratches, no excessive use, hardly used, no children or guests in the house) should be going through the amount of problems in this short period of time unless there's a manufacturer's defect!! The fact that they already have another TV same model (refurbished) in stock, tells me that Sharp TV has problems with their TV's and the tremedous amount of complaints on the internet confirms it. They are aware but continue to sell these defective TV's and something needs to be done about it. Once the warranty is out, you're out of luck! A refurbished TV is also not the answer!
