Shira L'Heureux Fishing for Frivilous lawsuits Albuquerque New Mexico
Ms. L'Heureux lists her self as an artist and a fine art/antiques appraiser. Apparently she is struggling in both of these areas and is now preying on the elderly to devise frivilous lawsuits. Generally speaking, Ms. L'heureux terms any dissatisfaction with her work and busisness practices as "slander." Here is one of those people who cannot handle honest criticism and will threaten to sue you if you offer any. She has currently set her sights on my elderly mother and her elderly friend. I do not know the details of their transaction but that hardly matters at this point.
Ms. L'Heureux is not interested in doing honest business. She is out fishing for lawsuits. She is a con artist. Her lilkely tactic is probably as follows: She undervalues an object to be appraised. She then escalates disagreement of her client with her deliberately low ball appraisal into an emotional attack heavily laden with vicous threats of legal action. She then proceeds to send out "cease and desist" letters to anyone who complains about her practices. In these letters and proposed contracts she attempts to extract an admission of guilt from her victims that they have "slandered" her.
This woman is fishing for lawsuits. find another appraiser. There are plenty of them who aren't fishing for a frivilous and contrived litigious payday.

I have known Shira L'Heureux for almost two years, and find her to be an upstanding and honest art and antique appraiser, as well as a nationally and internationally recognized historical depiction artist. Some of her work hangs in museums. She also has an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau. Ms. L'Heureux appraised a Native American rug for me last January in Santa Fe and gave me an accurate appraisal. She also helped me negotiate a favorable price with the rug seller. I have found Ms. L'Heureux to be highly ethical and moral. Unfortunately, in her line of work, she often encounters elderly people with valuable antiques and art work; and once she appraises those antiques and art work, human nature sometimes takes over and relatives will then come out of the woodwork, so to speak, and attempt to dispossess these often elderly people.

I reported the person who wrote the complaint about me to Adult Protective Services for having harassed and abused my elderly client.
Having contacted legal consul, I have found out that this same person who wrote the complaint, has numerous litigation in Colorado where she lives, and is in a protracted jury trial as she had restraining orders filed on her.
Subsequently I have had to change my phone number and make a police report.
Although I was referred to my elderly client by a national insurance company who highly recommended me, I no longer do this work due to the harassment I am recieving from this person who posted the complaint.
Hopefully this person will be tied up in her own litigation problems and will cease posting complaints on this web site and other web sites too.

Family harraassed clinet, now they harras me

This report was posted by the perpetrators of elder abuse on my client using phone calls. I reported this matter to the authorities and now they are harrassing and threatening me using the telephone and web sites such as this one. Social medai has positive aspects, but also can be used to damage reputations. the report on my person by this family is a direct result of my having reported this elder abuse to the authorities in my state. These people are in Colorado, not in my state.
Harrassment and posting untruthful reports can be a criminal as well as civil matter. No one wants to go through the expense of a lawsuit. However, this a clear cut case of harrassment and retaliation for reporting these people for elder abuse to the authorities.
