Shopdani.com Unauthorized charge. No refund. Rude customer service. Evanston Illinois
Like all the other victims I was charged $68 for something I didn't order. Their website only lists $9 cheap items; I had no idea where the $68 came from.
I talked to the customer service and was told they had two shipments for me; one I actually ordered ($9) and a promotional item with regular price of $68. Why would the promotional item be so expensive anyway, and I didn't see anything about any items costing $68. I told the guy I didn't want the promotional item, and wanted to cancel my account. I also told him not to send me that, but he said it's already on the way. I even didn't give him my name or any kind of information at this point; how did he know my items were already out there??? Then he told me that all I had to do was write "cancel, return to the sender" on the package and send it back, then I would get a refund within 5 days when they received it.
Since this guy was very rude, unprofessional and sounded like he was so used to handle this kind of situation, I became suspicious about this company and decided to pay for delivery confirmation to send it back.
Although the confirmation said "delivered" I never received a refund. I disputed the credit card company, CHASE, right away with the evidence of the delivery confirmation but, to my surprise, they decided to fight back! They told CHASE that I received the item, therefore I had an obligation to pay!
Yes, I received the package, but I sent it back! I was very disappointed with CHASE as well for ignoring my evidence (delivery confirmation), and decided to re-bill me.
"Returned Item = Refund"
Why is it so hard to understand?
I keep re-disputing this till I get my money back.
