Shoppingessentials.com Total scam! Charged my bank account without getting permission! Internet
In February I went on www.resturants.com to get a discount gift card for a place we were going to eat. Little did I know that when I signed up to get the gift card I was also signing up for a "free trial membership" to be in shoppingessentials.com. The company then began charging my account $14.95 a month to be in their "club" even though I was not aware of what the club was of even signing up for it!
I called today to ask what this "club" was and wanted to get out of my membership. They were nice enough to easily cancel my membership but I explained that i had never signed up to be in it in the first place and that I wanted all my money back from February. They said their policy clearly states (even though I have never seen their policy!) that they do not give refunds.
I then asked what the club was.. he explained that they offer special coupons and discounts but each month you have to call them to get the deals!!!! How ridiculous is that!!! I am supposed to pay $14.95 a month and then call them to get deals!!!!!!! I think this company is a total scam and does not offer any valid form of service!!!!
