There has been a turn of events that has changed my opinion, and my experience, with Silicon Solar and Mr. Adam Farrell. The service and experience I had received, for my order, from Silicon Solar was questionable, no one is arguing that point not even Mr. Farrell. There were several issues with communication that needed to be addressed and many of those have been addressed. As noted in the post below, Silicon Solar refunded my purchase after I canceled the order. They were technically done with any obligation they had with me, even though I was still a bit disgruntled about the "re-stocking fee". I was satisfied that I received the bulk of my funds back. However, the reason for this post is that I received a personal call from Mr. Farrell today. Adam displayed a degree of professionalism and courtesy that I found remarkable. His call was not to argue about the service I had received from his company. He never offered any excuses and was calm and respectful during our conversation. Adam wanted to know the history of my experience, to understand the issues and circumstances of my problems so they could be corrected for future customers. After our conversation I felt that I should share this positive experience. At this point I'm confident enough to make additional purchases though Silicon Solar. The only factor that allows me to do this is because of Mr. Farrell's interest in finding out why I had a difficult experience. I would urge those who are having difficulties with Silicon Solar to contact Adam directly at the email address below. I believe if you give him the opportunity to address any issues that you have, that he will respond to them in the same professional manner that he has mine. After leaving a voice message with Adam, sending multiple website posts they finally responded. They refunded the order but with some catches. 1st They charged me a 5% restocking fee. Despite the fact that the order never left their "warehouse", which I suspect is nothing more than a garage. Also to note the order was said to ship in 48hrs and still had been over 10 business days. 2nd When they calculated the restocking fee they including in the fee shipping. Now they never paid for shipping, and yet it was included in the 5% restocking fee. When I pointed this out to Matt (it would appear Matt and Adam are running the family business) and told him I would dispute this here was his repsonse: "Go ahead and dispute as fraud, I'll take care of the reversal on the chargeback and show how you are disputing the charge" Sure thats in his right to do. No problem with that. "I'm not wasting anymore time on this matter as we have already tried to help you enough." Really you have helped me enough by taking my cash and causing me grief. Ghee thanks! "We'll let merchant services review the case after I forward your ridiculous email and Invoice with tracking information showing signed delivery confirmation for merchandise paid for." Humm signed delivery, well that nevered happened I never recieved any merchandise and never signed anything because it never arrived. It was sitting in his warehouse. Such a claim would be false. "You have some serious issues" Thanks Matt, glad to know it. Next time when you feel like your being scammed come back to this. Well alot of hassel, to say the least. Sometimes I felt like a little childish having to do the things requried to have some kind of customer service.
