Well Luckily I have this in writing so I CAN substantiate my claims.

While shopping at Grapevine Mills Mall, near the DFW airport in Texas, we saw a sign that said "enter to win" a motorcycle. My husband decided he would enter to win.

While filling out the entry a woman came up, Rhonda, and began talking about resorts. Having been through a time share fiasco through etour and travel, I began pulling my husband away and telling Rhonda what a scam time shares were.

Well my husband, who sometimes doesn't have sense, was so stuck on that motorcycle he refused to budge and listened to her sales pitch. I kept saying no and she was offering all these things to go visit the resort, just visit it. I said I didn't trust her, and they were scams. She assured us she has worked there for over 16 years and she was an honest person. Well haven't we all heard that before?

I kept saying no I was not going. Meanwhile we noticed the entry for the motorcycle wasn't being dropped in the box for winning. It was being held on to by Rhonda.

Needless to say my husband was falling for her pitch. He said lets just go to get the Great Wolf Lodge passes because that is worth taking a tour. I kept saying no. Rhonda said we would get 3 $40 gas cards, a $40 visa card, 3 nights 4 days at Great Wolf Lodge WITH water passes just to go look at the resort. I still kept saying no but my husband insisted. Also we would be in the running for the motorcycle if we go out there and we would most likely win cash or a vacation on top of all this. Generous she says.. Scam I say.

We had to pay a "fully refundable" deposit of $20 to reserve the date to get our free stuff. Again, I didn't like that either. I knew this was wrong but my husband had his eye on the bike. I then noticed Rhonda did not drop our "entry" into the bin with the other "entries" for the motorcycle but it was STAPLED to a sheet with our information on it to go tour the resort.

Well we waited until a day before our "tour" and that is when the truth started to SLIP out. Although I have a form sitting infront of my from Rhonda saying we get "a day pass to the lake Palastine resort/activities with 5 water park tickets", "Great Wolf Trip", "3-$40 gas CARDS", & "$40 visa card" that apparently is not true.

Anna called to "confirm" gift package and time. IT then came out these were not "gas cards" but "gas vouchers". My husband said well what is that. It was explained by Anna we buy gas and they refund the money. Well that is not what Rhonda said or WROTE.

Needless to say my husband then decides to speak to a manager who has it fixed for gift cards opposed to vouchers.

However, with the way I am and the scam we lived through with etour and travel, I began telling my husband I do not want to waste my time and I want my $20 back that is fully refundable. Well, he didn't like it because he is still thinking he gets something for nothing... I know better..... HE called back and said my wife is refusing to come because you lied about the gas cards. So one manager after another before getting one who said he saw the vouchers (even though before they were suppose to have fixed this for the cards since that is what was written).  Finally he was told our card would be refunded, but he gave our card number again, so I'm worreid about that.

He's upset with me for not going, so I came here read though some of the complaints and shared those with him, and finally he is seeing I just nagged him into saving us a huge headache.

I just wanted to warn people that they are lying to you at the sign up places and by phone, and be forewarned you don't get what's promised and they use one word to change it up each time so you don't notice if your not paying attention. Please please avoid these time share scams, because that is what they turn out to be! A huge scam!

Rhonda kept promising us the world and said we would never be scammed or lied to and here it starts BEFORE we even get to the resort. Rhonda's number at Grapevine is 214-392-4608. I am getting ready to call her and let her know what a liar she is.

I do not know how people sleep at night.
