Before opening my company, I researched different water massage machines.  I found Simulated Environmental Concepts, Inc. and liked the sleek look of the Spa Capsule.  Looking at their claims of the "cash cow" and how it would attract lots of customers seemed to be what we were looking for.

When we bought the Spa Capsule, they attempted hidden fees that were extra like picking my own colors and delivery fees.  I fought them on both issues because I specifically asked how much "the Total" was going to be and those two expenses were not added in.  They relented and I was not charged.

I did not have the machine 5 months and the blue lining on the inside began to tear.  I notified Spa Capsule and got no reply.  Two more months went by and no one responded to help us with the tearing liner which by now was hanging down and ripped over a foot inside the machine.  Eventually after many attempts to get help, I finally reached their customer service and the man (Strong Indian Accent) told me that I would have to pay for the maintenance man's flight from Florida to California and his lodging expenses for him to come fix the lining.

Obviously, I threw a fit.  Within weeks a man came out and repaired the lining--no charge.

This "cash cow" did not even draw in 5 customers a month despite all the advertising propaganda they send with the unit.  I did absolutely everything possible to attract attention for the Spa Capsule.  No one came.  I had taken the GE Money Bank deal where we were interest free on the loan for one year.  We couldn't even get enough people in to use the machine to pay for one payment.  GE MoneyBank socked us with a $5,000 penalty because we could not pay it off in one year at the cost of $27,450.

Furthermore, GE MoneyBank's interest was at 13%.  We called so many times to Spa Capsule to tell them that their claims were exaggerated and how the machine did not draw in any people.  They never returned our calls and we could never speak to a person.  GE MoneyBank wanted their money.  After struggling for 6 months to make payments on the Spa Capsule, it became appearant that after 18 months, the machine was NOT what they had told us it was--the cash cow.  We could no longer afford to pay $700 plus on a machine that drew in about $50 a month if we were lucky.  We only charged $10 for the 10 minutes also whereas Spa Capsule at first insisted we could charge $8 for 5 minutes.  We couldn't even get them to use it at $10, so how could we get them to pay almost twice that amount?

GE MoneyBank hounded us at home, on our cell phones and then they began to call my work line.  They were demanding payment.  I explained to them that we could not make the payments and then they still kept calling us.  I kept on calling Spa Capsule and could not get any help.  After being hounded for months, we told them to come and get the machine.

All of GE MoneyBank's representatives spoke broken English in a strong Indian accent and they acted like they could not understand English.  They called so many times that they were cross calling and didn't know the other was calling and making deals to settle the account.  We were hounded relentlessly.  Finally, we have had to take from our personal funds to settle the amount with them.  Ultimately, we are left paying over $20,000 for a machine that will not bring in even 10 customers.

Still to this day, Spa Capsule--aka Simulated Environmental Concepts has never returned one call or answered my letter.

Please do not buy this machine as it will NOT bring in the customers that the company brags it will.  Most of my customers see it as a joke and would not pay to get in it.  I have had to pitch it as a "throw in" with other package deals and as a "freebe".
