Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
The following is a copy of one of the emails I sent to [email protected] that their "customer care" responded to with a form letter each time:

The discriminatory comments the host made had nothing to do with the song being played and certainly did not belong on a music channel. Did you even read the email I sent?

"But then about 1:58pm on 1/2/2005 he goes on to say this year "right-wing Christians" are trying to ban books and movies and keep people from their sexuality??? Then goes on with an anti-American sentiment saying we are cowboys shooting everybody up, apparently in a vague reference towards IRAQ."

His inflammatory remark had nothing to do with the music being played and was not a discussion but a racial/religious slur. I do not appreciate you sending me canned responses and not addressing the content of your music host.

When you are promoting Sirius products from your website that is a commercial. When you make degrading remarks about a large segment of your audience that is discrimination.

Perhaps the advertisements for Sirius should sound something like this, "Sirius, the anti-Christian station for all your Christ bashing needs. Our music stations gravitate towards anti-Christian and anti-American remarks and we could care less if that offends you. Listen and pay."

I expect a personal in writing apology and an on-air apology from Alan Hunter and I want to know when it is aired. If you choose to send me a canned response again then I will be glad to post this information on the ripoffreport.com and other websites where your company can get plenty of press from people considering to sign up from you or the other guy.

Disgusted,

Robert

Here is their standard response sent to me personally 3 times:

Dear Robert,

Our emphasis is on the music and entertainment you want. Master music programmers and on-air personalities, who are true experts, host our music. They back up the music with compelling information about the song being played. They understand that sometimes it is best to just let the music speak for itself. We do not consider announcements and on-air host discussions "commercials." We simply want to ensure that our listeners remember who they are listening to so they can come back to their favorite channels. We apologize for any frustration caused by the

announcements and on-air host discussions. We are dedicated to providing quality service and customer satisfaction. We encourage comments on how we can improve our service.

So apparently whether you complain about the anti-christian content or the blatant commercials on their music stations, you will get the standard "We don't see it your way, and will be happy to send you this form letter again."

What did I request? Something a little more personal than a form response. I asked for a retraction from the music host and written apology. Did I ask for money? No, just asked them to take back their discriminatory remarks and leave the talk on the talk stations and the music on the music stations.

Apparently this is too hard for them, even if you pay for it.

Sirius, Listen and Pay
