Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
A while back a my car was stolen. I called the local police department and filed a report. The car was found by the Palm Beach County Police Department. The police called me around 10:30pm just a few days after my car was stolen. I was not able to get to the call and so I returned the call the next day first thing. I was informed that your car was found and was in what it seemed to be driveable conditions. So my car was driveable just some minor damage, scratches here and there and the radio was missing.

Sisters Towing From WPB On Southern BLVD. picked my car and I ofcourse went to pick it up right away. Once I got there the place seem like a junk yard with rough neck looking type people. It was not a friendly place. So I asked to see my car and was told that I need to pay a bill first of $400.00 plus to pay for their bill. WHAT!!!! :( Ok the brakedown is the pickup plus a daily rate of $26 or something dollars per DAY.... OK So here I am not knowing how my car is and what it looks like with no money to pay their bill. I never authorized for my car to be picked up. The car was found in a parking lot and was driveable. the police says ok since you did not answer your phone we had to tow it. Perhaps a call from the Towing Company Sisters Towing would have been appropiate so they themselfs before they charge for any services would be expected. NO. Sorry thats our business. So Pay up or we keep you car for a few more weeks or than it goes to an aution. WOW!!!. how upsetting. You work so hard for your things and my only car. So I left that day and told them I would get back to them in the mean-time, time is ticking! and their daily rate for storage still going on. My nerves are shot. I finally was forced to pay their bill but settled the account for alomost 50%. I had to plee with them and pretty much beg them. Again these people are a bunch of rough necks. I believe in fair play I understand that people have a right to charge for their services. My car was towed without me authoriziting it and not knowing anything about their fees. Plus when your car is stolen you get a bit emotional. Once I got there their treatment/customer service is really bad. Pay up or else. Felt like the towing mafia.

I would advise you not to do business with these people and if You or anyone you know something like this happens to them you should report it. I am the first one and I believe people need to be made aware. Now you may or may not agree with me but atleast I can tell you that place is super ugly and nasty.

Article for Tow Times or towing magazine:

When others said no Sisters Towing  said no problem.

When a nonprofit Aviation school needed an airplane to be towed from Miami to Boynton Beach Florida, they encountered a problem: everyone they called said they could not do the job; That is until they called Sisters Towing and Transportation. The airplane was a twin Beech that would be used for instructional purposes, even with the wings removed it was 17 feet wide. After weeks of coordination the airplane was disassembled and hoisted on to a low boy trailer. The engines and wings  were also loaded and the crew left under police escort at 4:00 am onto 1-95 north. After they arrived at Boynton Beach the engines wings and fuselage were unloaded by crane. The Boynton Aerospace Science Academy at Boynton Beach Community High School will use it  to  instruct students at Boynton on airframe and power plant maintenance.  The BASA program is a partnership between Embry Riddle University and Palm Beach County Schools, it provides high school students with a college education in the aerospace and aviation industry at no charge to the student or parent. Students not only learn maintenance but are also taught the science of flight and take actual flight with two other donated airplanes at Palm Beach County Airpark in Lantana. The BASA Program and its students are  very grateful to Tim And Steve at  Sisters Towing and Transportation for their courtesy , service and the excellent job they provided for the school.

Sister's Damaged Bumper, Admitted Fault, Won't Pay Lowest Estimate We Gave Them To Repair Damage. Going to Court!

"Smiley" has done his/her best to rebutt this consumer's claims; however, I find myself in a situation with Sister's as well and would like to know excatly how Mr./Miss Smiley can explain this one away:

Sister's towed our truck 2 weeks ago and damaged a brand new bumper we had put on the truck only 2 days prior. Tim Day, Mgr. or Owner of Sister's, admitted fault but when I faxed him 3 estimates and said we would be happy to settle for the lowest one, he wanted to actually take the vehicle his company had damaged back to his towing shop and repair the bumper there. Since they are in the business of towing, not body work, I refused. At that time, he asked if he could come over to the house for a second inspection of the bumper and bring some body shop friend of his to determine if the three estimates I got were legit. Mind you, we paid almost $1000 for the new bumper and the lowest estimate to repair it was only $250. Considering I could have told him I wanted a brand new bumper, I thought we were trying to be pretty fair. I told him in a calm, rational manner that he could bring over his body shop friend but that I was not going to dicker about the cost and that he had until Monday to come up with the money or I would have to pursue legal action. It had already been almost two weeks since the damage was done and we were not nearing a resolution. At that time, this self-proclaimed "fair" person who "wanted to do the right thing" hung up on me. When I called back to ask what happened, he laughed like an immature school child and said he would take this all the way to trial and convince a jury that his truck didn't do the damage. I wonder if he remembers leaving me a message admitting fault and stating that his trucks "would leave blue paint?" Since I am an attorney, pursuing this with Mr. Day and Sister's Towing will be no skin off my back, but I wanted to let all you other unsuspecting souls out there know. Stay away from this company.

Understandably no one likes it when their vehicle is stolen, it is a stressful situation. Unfortunately for some owners it does happen, I for one am well aware of this feeling as it has happened to me. Palm Beach County Commisioners set non-consent towing rates and Sisters did NOT have anything to do with that, we just follow them. The money that we collect from towing pays for the fuel to take the truck to recover, a driver, the truck, insurance for our yard in case something should happen to your vehicle while in our possession. When you are getting insurance for you vehicle, YOU as the owner decide what you would rather get, basic or full coverage. Without full coverage insurance you are telling the insurance company that if something should happen to your vehicle you will be responsible for any and all charges. The Palm Beach County Sheriffs office will not just let the vehicle sit once they have recovered the vehicle, if the owner does not answer or can not make it to the scene, then they call us. We do not call them. You reported your vehicle stolen and asked for the Sheriffs office to help you find it. Once they found it, it's up to you as the owner to come pick it up. Unfortunately our office is not a junk yard, but we do recover vehicles that are not in the best condition and it can make our yard look junky. In reference to calling the owner, the sheriffs office is responsible for that. We can not call the owner to notify them, as we do not have your phone number on file. Most people have cell phones which are not published numbers. I personally don't consider myself as a rough neck, although some of the people that do work in this industry can be. As for going out to look at the vehicle, we do take our customers out to look at the vehicles but just inform them that if they should leave their vehicle here it is their responsibility to either contact insurance or pick up the vehicle. We do not want these vehicles to stay here forever, so yes there is an auction in which vehicles can be sold. When you mentioned that there was 2 bills, the only way there would be an additional bill is if your vehicle went to impound for a forfeiture. When owners come in to pick up a stolen vehicle you are mad as your vehicle was stolen, upset, stressed, ect and most of the time you take it out on us. Sadly we did not steal your vehicle but just towed it to a safe location, as directed per the Sheriff's Office. We are here to answer questions and I can help clarify any issues. Some people have read this and  have wanted us to know that there is a post in reference to a bad situation, which sadly you had happen. There are lots of un-insured tow companies out in Palm Beach county, and if something happens to your vehicle while it is in tow then its your responsibility as they don't care.
