Virginia: Your story isn't unique, unfortunately. Jason McCarron is an incompetent lying cheat. He use to be the Regional Manager until he finally got demoted back down to store manager. Upper management keeps him around only because they are out of touch with what is going on, kinda like a ostrich when their head in the sand. After working with him closely for more than 7 years I learned not to trust him, as nobody else does - not even this now ex-wife he cheated on with 4 other women. He has absolutely NO problem lying straight to a customers' face just like a well skilled snake oil salesman. His southern accent is hammed up because he believes it helps him close deals. Not a person in that organization has ANY respect for him and he leaves a wake of destruction in every store he runs. Usually he gets moved from store to store leaving the incoming manager to do "clean up". The fact that he got promoted shows the lack of real leadership from the Vice President of Sales, but when you kiss butt at the Olympic level as Jason does promotion is what happens. Jason has his head so far up upper managements' butt when they stop abruptly Jason gets a broken nose. In fact Larry needs a glass stomach so Jason can see! I believe that if upper management actually tried to do something right instead of playing favoritism Jason would be out of a job and the rest of the honest salespeople would throw a party!
