The part:
Throttle body for my Acura
Story:
I went online and filled one of those forms that goes around to junkyards who then take a look at it and check it with their inventory. Well, you can fill out any part, even if it doesn't exist and you will get an e-mail from S&J saying "We show your part to be available." It happens to be that THEY NEVERY HAVE THE PART, and apparently use a bad system because as far as my car; there's a Type-S and the regular. The throttle type-S throttle body (TB) is HUGE when compared to the regular, but their system doesn't show the difference.
How S&J work:
First the talk you into them having the part...most likely they don't, check out other rip-off reports and you'll understand. Second, THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY...THEN, like 2weeks after and 10calls, they start looking for the part and if they can't find it, THEY SEND THE WRONG one because they think you're stupid.
The calls:
S&J has an answering machine in Ohio, and if you ever call to complain or to refund, you contact this people who then "take your message, and S&J will call as soon as they can". but they will NEVER return the call.
Solution:
If this happens to you, you MUST menace with legal action and demand to talk to "John", the owner. IF, and then IF, you call this guy, who is kinda nice but is very stupid or very good in pretending he's stupid because he never gives you a solution other than "ship the part back and when we get we will refund you the money" (they wont refund NOR pay for shipping)
What you should do is report this incident to you bank within 30days (or 60days) and have them get the money back for you. You should also cancel the credit card you paid with because they have it my friend, and if it ever comes to the bank screwing them, THEY WILL SCREW YOU 3fold.
My problem:
I paid $150 for the wrong Throttle body, spent at least 4hours on the phone with their answering service and their worthless calling system. Canceled the credit car which brought many other problems. I DID NOT SEND THE UNIT BACK, I simply resold the part on ebay and made %95 of the money I spent.
*OH, I forgot to say, they charge %20 restocking fee and you have to pay shipping.
I wont talk no more, If anyone wants to start a legal action I will support you, I will be very happy if we shut this place down because THEY'RE MISSION IS TO MAKE EASY MONEY BY SERVICING YOUR ACCOUNT FROM BEHIND WHILE YOU BEND OVER!
