In the first place I did not lie about anything I said in my original statement. I know that your don't care what happened to me, because it was not you. I did not returned because you kept telling me that it was normal. I feel emotionally hurt by what happened to me. Of course you have to defend yourself and say what you think really went on. In all reality you are not the patient that is suffering. You say that I had no infections. So why did I go to the emergency room and the Doctors there found and infection. I feel like my lost is your gain. What I mean about my lost is that I lost my belly button and you gained money out of the deal that went wrong. You will never admit fault, but there is a God. I am physically and mentally hurt. This is not like a nail that will grow back, this is a body part that I was born with, which I no longer have.

Your report is incomplete. Here is the corrected version of what took place:
1. You sought treatment for scar removal (neither dark spots nor marks) and it was performed after you were explained about it, post-operative care and follow-up
2. You were instructed to return ONE week after the procedure, which you did not do
3. Where stated: "When I arived home I noticed that my belly button it was flat": it was the expected post-treatment swelling, or edema.
4. Instead of returning as instructed you sought the care of another provider.
5. You returned several weeks after the procedure was performed with a seroma over the umbelical area, or a "bubble". There was no infection or burn, but normal post-operative changes despite the seroma. The seroma is a minor complication that is easily treated and the outcomes are excellent, provided the patients follow instructions and return for additional minor treatments or touch-ups and dressings, on the area of the seroma, if indicated. In this situation, it was a consequence of the type of skin scarring that took place in the umbelical area.
The seroma was removed, the area was cleaned, dressing applied and you were told to return in days, which you again did not do.
The patient did appear upset when inquired about why she did not follow the original instructions and did not return to the office as instructed, and offered no explanation.
6. Your belly-button is not ruined. It is easy to repair it and you are welcome to return to Skinsational Laser Center for it. That was an unfortunate misunderstanding on your part and you went to another provider; you should have returned as instructed. Please contact our office, we are still able to help you.
7. Dr. Luciano Sztulman at Skinsational Laser Center has over 20 years of experinece with lasers in surgery and he does an excellent job, which is mirrored in the success of his practice. Sometimes complications occur in procedures and yours was one of them; it was a rather minor complication that could have been easily treated.
We would be delighted to help you in this issue and ask you again to contact our office, as we have extensive experience. We will treat you very professionally, as always, and we will not comment on our competition. We will take care of you.
