Spoke with very friendly David Diaz from Smith and Gromann, Erasing Debt.com and was told of various plans for debt consolidation and debt reduction programs. At the time of the contract 9/12/05 I could not afford to do the debt consolidation in full and he told me about a program that I could do named "Jump Start Program" where I would pay $615 for the first month and then it would escalate every month thereafter for a period of 6 months at which time I would have to pay my full amount each month of roughly $1200. I told him I would like to try that program because in that period of time I could then afford the stiff full payment. I was not interested in Debt Reduction because that would damage my credit worse.

I had the contracts faxed to me only to learn that i would be dealing with multiple companies who would handle my account. Ok, I'm thinking....if I get the jump start program that will be fine. The $615 was not even the first payment going towards my bills, they called this a set up fee to start the program.

Approximately on Sept 20, 2005; smith and gromann withdraw $615 from my bank account and I felt better knowing that I had made the right decision only to find out three weeks later, almost one month later that the program jumpstart was terminated. I found this out from one of the companies that was going to help me and I notified David Diaz who said that's not true, you are signed up and not to worry he was going to find out what was wrong with United Debt consol. because they didn't know what they were talking about.

To make a long story short; it's true, the creditors canceled between the time I signed the contract and the time I was to start the program. So I'm left with only ONE choice. Debt Reduction. At this point, I was now 60 days behind on those bills that was supposedly entered into the program.

I did not want to do debt reduction. I feel I was misled because I got absolutely nothing for my money and had I known the program was going to be discontinued I would not have signed up with this company. I'm very upset since I'm now 5 months behind on those bills.

I called and left messages with David that I wanted a refund even though their policy was not to issue one... but under these circumstances I was not getting what I paid for when they canceled the program! I was ignored. I have since filed with the BBB of Boca Raton to try to recover some of my $615.
