I am not sure what the issue is here. How is this a scam? I received the same check in the mail and view it as any other solicitation I receive. If you read the check...it clearly states how this works. The only people that are duped by offers like this are those who do not take the time to read. If you get the check and you do not want to enroll, all you have to do is shred the check. This is exactly what I do with anything that my credit card company sends me. Once you do that...the issue is resolved. The other steps you listed are just a waste of your time. 1. Calling your credit card is pointless....nothing has been charged or will be charged if you don't join. 2. What are you going to tell the attorney general? That someone mailed you an offer in the mail? 3. Force the Snuggie company out of business. In today's economy that sounds like a great idea...we need a few more unemployed people. My suggestion is to shred the check and do nothing. That takes all of 12 seconds.
