Softwarempire.com is a fraudulent ripoff website.
I purchased a windows 7 home premium operating system from them and i was supposed to have the choice of it being sent in the mail or a file download.
After completeing the purchase the only option that was really available was to download a file an ISO file, which turned out to be a trial version of windows 7 home premium.
They then sent me a bogus activation code not only once but twice niether of which worked.
I repeatedly called their number and left my contact info and my calls were never returned.
All email attempts to reach them were a waste of time also.
They did respond to email once only to send me another bogus activation code which did not work.
After that they refused to respond to any of my emails.
I have filed a report with the FBI internet crimes division and i've had to put a stop on my debit card.
I am also filing a complaint with the federal trades commission.
I know its only getting beat for $50 dollars but just think of how many other people are getting ripped off too.
If you have been ripped off by this site cancel your debit card and have the bank re issue a new one.
