sollyjr Double jj Ranch Brackettville is now B and J Ranch South Texas Brackettville, Texas Internet
A couple of years ago I went to the Double jj Ranch in Bracketville which described features such a trophy pasture which cost more that the other pasture which was cheaper because it did not border the 20,000 ranch like the trophy pasture. this year it does not mention pastures. it also said that one woud see numerous deer of which proved wrong when i went just saw does and spikes and not as many as described.
the worst part is the cost of the hunt with penalties for an extra $500 if size is not reached. here is what it cost today and very close just like last time.
B & J Ranch is located in South Texas, 2 miles off the highway surrounded by large ranches.
Our N boundary adjoins a 20,000 acre ranch hunted very little - "like having a sanctuary right next to you."
12 water holes year around. Most of our all-weather blinds have water holes. Auto-feeders by every blind.
We are a free roaming – game managed ranch with year around waterholes & feeders.
B & J Ranch harvest trophy bucks only. “May kill a buck of a lifetime.”
SPECIAL – Book wife or child for only $400 on any 2 day, 3 day, or 4 day hunt--to sit with hunter in a double blind
No limit on hogs & varmints with every hunt.
Pricing for Hunts
$900.00 for 2 days
$1200.00 for 3 days
$1500.00 for 4 days
$500.00 cash kill fee for each legal buck harvested
SPECIAL -- $400.00 - Wife or Child on any 2 day, 3 day, or 4 day hunt--to sit with hunter in a double blind
also charge is extra for a non hunter or guest if one wants to take.
maybe this year, things may be better due to all the rainfall, but i would be cautious and hopefully it pays out to those that go and get a deer. the pictures of the deer on the website are the ones that have been on for sometime. the turkey are new and also the hogs.
if you do go, please let us know thru rebuttal, but don't say that i didn't warn you.

Me & my son booked a hunt at B&J Ranch for November 10,11&12 2017, we were completely satisfied with or hunt. We saw plenty of deer and we're treated like family. Everything we were told by ranch owner before or trip was completely true and as promised. We hunted the North pasture of this ranch and harvested a nice buck. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we rebooked a hunt for next month. JD Cox took very good care of us during our stay. This is a low fenced ranch and the game moves from property to property. Its not always about the kill but enjoy the fellowship, the surroundings and experience. Had we not harvested a deer we still would have enjoyed our stay. Sorry that some of you had a bad experience but we didn't!!
