I just want to warn everyone of a big time scam. Solutions Bridal and John Stephens are absolute Scam Artists. They are the worst kind of scum praying on innocent victims.

This is how they scam people. First you order the wedding dress. John the fat perv letch hovers around you calling you sweetie and honey and acting like you are the most beautiful thing in the world.

You order the dress then the scam begins. They tell you that their have been delays and it will cost more (hundreds or thousands of dollars) to get it done by the time of your wedding.

I had to pay an extra $4200 for my dress or I would not have had it for the wedding. John try's to act sad and says Sweetie what can I do. I believed it wasn't his fault until I ran into an employee who told me this happens all the time.

DO NOT TRUST this scam. They will ruin your wedding or you will pay thousands more.

This posting was written with contempt of the store owner because he is a decent and successful man who is also NOT ethically challenged--unlike the author. It is possible to run a legitimate business which makes consumers happy and be profitable at the same time...I think that is the definition of "business." The author of this falacious report was actually a jealous ex boyfriend, Alec Defrawy, or Michael, or Brian Anderson, or (here is the real name) Ayman Ahmed El Defrawi! Please take it upon yourself to conduct a search right here in ripoffreport to get the over 200 negative reports about how he has abused poeple in business and in personal relationships. His motive for posting this fallacy was to hurt a decent man who is now courting his ex girlfriend--that is me. He is attempting to smear, defame, disconstruct and hurt in anyway possible anyone closely related to me so that I will live in a miserable existance--knowing I am the cause of so many loved one's anguishes around me. He thinks this will lure me back to him. If my bleeding heart wished to stop the pain he is causing for those I care for, he believes I will sacrifice my own happiness and relent back to him. This store is actually Amazing, and is one of the ways John was able to woo me!

Just Typical Business for John Stephens

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, October 12, 2004

Reading this report was like a blast from the past. John Stephens is a serious scumbag. That was his MO while I worked there. He would be all peaches and cream to the brides then when it was too late he would hit them with his scam. After getting off the phone he would brag about how much he got them for and laugh about it. If you are getting married run away from this scumbag.

Bridal dress executive should be arrested for their crimes

#4Consumer Suggestion

Tue, October 12, 2004

Dearest Kim, Oh how my heart breaks for you, another victim of bridal dress executives' fraud nationwide. A yearly occurrence as reported by many previous victims (brides, bridesmaids, mothers, fathers, sisters, friends, etc.) for 30 years all over our great country. The employee (of Solutions Bridal shop) who told you "this happens all the time" is so correct. All over the nation brides have been complaining about industry executives (like John Stevens, David's Bridals and Vera Wang corporation too) who have been misleading consumers on products (dresses, etc.) ordered yearly. Many, many bridal dress retail executives are causing much devastating damages to many hundreds of consumers' (expensive planned weddings) nationwide yearly just as you (Kim) so innocently describe above. Local State attorneys (NY, PA, UT, MD and many others too) waste taxpayer's monies dealing with the illegal fraud of bridal dress executives (like Harry Kaufman of PA) as reported by many bridal dress consumers/complainants every year. However many local State Attorneys (NY & PA) are failing to address the "Core" of the problem (manufacturers who support retailer who order products) but fail to really address the industry problems that occur year, after year, after year. Kim, which manufacturer supports John Stevens who "expresses" once price while placing orders and then changing the "Verbal/Written Contract" (or Expressed Warranty) after the order was placed? Illegal and unethical to say the least, Kim! Which manufacturer is sending dresses supporting executives like John Stevens who "Terrorizes" (Kim do you feel terrorized/brutalized?) and steals sweet young brides money on "What is supposed to be the happiest day of their lives"? Which manufacturer is allowing John Stevens to charge an extra $4,200.00 dollars for your dress to arrive on time? Appalling and your words of complaint are so powerful Kim, this year especially. Kim, be sure and write to let consumers (at ripoffreports) know some of the above answers and more details of the crime (my opinion based on your honest letter, of course) committed by John Stevens and Solutions Bridal. Manufactures (core of bridal dress fraud) could stop this crime if they were not so "Greedy" or "Money Hungry" like Vera Wang Corporation who was busy stealing bride's money and dreams as well while corporate executive brutalized brides. Ladies "only" recourse (without getting an attorney) against this yearly fraud is to use our "voices" (via letter writing) to prove (beyond a reasonable doubt) that bridal dress industry executives use illegal sales deceit to scam and defraud many ladies nationwide every year and ladies are SICK AND TIRED OF WATCHING OUR DAUGHTERS, SISTERS, MOTHERS, AUNTS, NIECES AND GRANDMOTHERS BE DEFRAUD ON WEDDING DRESSES. There are even articles (NY Times) and books (6th editios) written (Bridal Gown Guide) to help ladies "not" be scammed and defrauded by industry executives. I say to the bridal dress industry why are book necessary to explain how not to be illegally scammed. There must be fraud many times over if a book is necessary. If past victims work together we could force bridal dress retail executives to stop the game of bridal dress fraud (trickery) yearly and further force industry executives to stop "Expressing" what retailers (like John Stevens, David's Bridal, Vera Wang and others) can't deliver. Kim it is "unlawful" and "unethical" for "any" retail executive to "express" (expressed warranty) you will receive a product/dress but not provide it at the cost agreed upon. The law sometimes allows victims (like you Kim) to recover damages (ruined wedding event, loss of experience, pain and suffering, etc.) as a direct result of the "Illegal Negligence" of retail executives like John Steven who promise a dress but can't provide it unless you give him $4,200.00 more. Really appalling! Price gouging in my opinion. There are "Bait and Switch" laws to address such criminals like John Stevens who "bait" sweet brides with "couture" promises but then "switch" the contract (add extra charges) causing consumers much "unnecessary" distress (and more) in the days before their planned wedding events. It is reported that Vera Wang Corporation has already made settlements (class action suit-IL) on brides who have been defrauded by Vera's local "approved" retailer (Marshall Fields) who I believe to be just like John Stevens. There is a big problem nationwide and industry executives of bridal dresses refuse to acknowledge all the crimes they commit while making high illegal profits off poor consumers. Then greedy corporte executives (Like Vera Wang's corporte president - Hazzard) use scammed monies to go in "Holiday" and give to "Charities" so the they can then get "Tax Write off" as consumers expense again. That is why our consumer "voices" and "written complaints" are so powerful this year (2004). Kim, my sister has been investigating the "Crime" of "Bridal Dress Fraud" for two years and there is overwhelming evidence of the many crimes committed by corporate executives in the bridal dress industry nationwide. Ladies are not "privy" as to which bridal dress executives (all?) are committing the crime nationwide and therefore we recommend that ladies not "order" any dresses (from any retailer) until industry executives stop the repetitive crimes committed by many, many, many (not all?) bridal dress executives nationwide. Kim, I truly believe you have a "great" case against John Stevens and the manufacturer (?) of your wedding dress who "Gouge" some consumers on products "already" ordered. However, I need to hear your entire story to be sure. Also many bridal dress industry executives (including John Steven, David's Bridal & Vera Wang) need to stop telling so many consumers/ladies "your dress will arrive" but then are unable to provide it and sometimes they charge $4,200.00 to get your dress on time. Wow, so unbelievable! How do they get away with it? Kim, how much was the original cost of the dress before John Stevens so rudely added $4,200.00 after the fact? Kim, Please be sure and send a copy of your complaint above to the FL Attorney General's Office (address below). Also Kim, would you please (pretty please) waste your day in behalf of potential future bridal dress victims (2005, 2006, 2007, etc.) and send a copy of your complaint to the NY City Attorney General's office (Mr. Phil Gamma) who is on notice of corporate fraud as committed by many bridal dress retail executives nationwide. Many State Attorneys fail to "truly" address the crimes of bridal dress fraud at the "core". Instead, state attorneys are reactive each year one complaint at a time. Wasting taxpayer monies nationwide year, after year, after year. There is overwhelming evidence of bridal dress corporate fraud based on "repetitive" consumer complaints (100's & 100's). Many problems involving bridal dresses are "repetitive" like late arriving dresses; dresses that are too small or large, missing garment tag (illegal as warned by the Fed. Trade Commission 2004), switched sales tags and materials, poorly made dresses that barely meet industry standards, crying brides who have their dreams devastated by the yearly crime of bridal dress fraud and sales staff who "illegally" promise what can't be produced. It is not only the brides who suffer from retail fraud, too many family members, friends and grooms suffer as well while they watch sweet innocent brides be "brutalized" by industry executives who act a somewhat like the Taliban. The Taliban kill innocent people with bombs and bridal retail executives kill brides dreams with Illegal deceipt while stealing their money and going on Holiday. Let me know if I can be of further help. If I were you Kim, I would call John Stevens/Bridal Solutions and tell them you want to file a fraud claim through their "Insurance company" for all the "Pain and Suffering" (I can tell by your words above there was much P & S) he caused your "Ruined Expensive Planned Wedding Event/Experience". That will (at least) get his goat a little and when he dismisses you (as many bridla dress executives do), your only recourse would be to get an attorney and file suit. I know a tough attorney (in north Florida) who I believe would be willing to help victims (like you Kim) file suit and recover damages for not only the dress cost but too a failed once in a life time experienced, unnecessary pain and suffering, unnecessary ruined wedding event as a direct result of John Stevens negligence (in my opinion). Kim there is too much "supporting evidence" and bridal dress executives can no longer hide behind corporate attorneys and pretend that nothing is occurring in bridal dress sales. Send a copy of this e-mail to John Stevens so that he can see that there are many victims who believe sales (con?) artist in the bridal dress industry should be "Arrest" for the repetitive crimes against women nationwide yearly. Let us know your thoughts, Kim. I would love to help as my family has been investigating bridal dress scams (fraud) and hopes to really press manufacturers to help stop the problem so that the brides ordering dresses for 2005 do not have to endure the same devastating damages to their wedding as the ladies in 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997 and earlier. I await your early response. P.S. the addresses for the Attorney General's are as follows. Mr. Seth Mendelsohn (handled many cases of bridal dress fraud) Bureau of Consumer Protection 14th Floor Strawberry Square Harrisburg, PA 17120 Phone 717-787-9707 Fax: 717-787-1190 Also (pretty please-all ladies nationwide) send carbon copies of any complaints regarding bridal dresses fraud/scam/trickery to: Mr. Phil Gamma New York City Attorney General's Office Consumer Fraud and Protection Division 120 Broadway New York, NY 10271 (Reference NY case # CFN02A10064) The New York Attorney General is also wasting taxpayer monies by not addressing the repetitive crime of bridal dress fraud on a nationwide podium instead of handling each complaint (many hundreds) one, by one, by one, by one, year, by year, by year. A waste of taxpayers monies where all that money could be better spend on the needy.
