On her web site, Ms. Sonia Barrett advertised a seminar on evolving consciousness. That ad listed dates, the city, the times, and, of course, the price. However, the address was not stated. I twice emailed a request for the address so that I could plan for out-of-town arrangements. As a gesture of good faith to a person whom I believed to be of good character (based upon her books and talks sponsored by people who I had come to trust), I paid for the seminar about a month in advance via PayPal and then, again, requested the address of the event.
Having received no response even 4 short days before the event, I requested a full refund. On that day, I was finally given the address but informed that it would be held outdoors. Ms. Barrett offered an apology, a refund or, in the alternative, a free audio recording series if I chose to attend.
Even though I had misgivings about being informed of the outdoor location so late, I initially replied that I planned to attend since I had been so excited about the event. A day later though, I informed her that I would not attend because of its outdoor venue and the pollen associated with time of year was a health hazard for me. I do not believe it is reasonable to inform participants of an outdoor location of such an event with such short notice.
Since April 12, 2009, the refund has been promised by Ms. Barrett and re-requested several times. It has still not been received. I am simply requesting that Ms. Barrett keep her word. In so doing, the value of those words she has spoken and written on matters of evolving of conciousness may be more constructively received.

On August 24, 2009 (3 months ago), Sonia Barrett/ Sovereign Mind Radio/ Sovereign Mind Magazine refunded to me the amount at issue in my original report, dated May 25, 2009.
I have been tardy in reporting the satisfactory resolution of this matter. Ms. Barrett's actions have confirmed/restored my faith in her intentions and character. I know that the information she shares is one that has the character of truth and power. Ms. Barrett has apologized to me for the delay in making the refund and I am now apologizing to her for the delay in reporting that she resolved the matter.
