Complaint Review: Sophie Anastasia Castan Zammit -- Auto Rehab - Melbourne Tarniet, Victoria

My name is Maria Lindbloom, and Sophie Zammit strung my husband (Alan "Gunner" Lindbloom) and me along for four months with promises of funding for the U.S. version of "Auto Rehab," as well as investment capital for my husband's business, and never came through on anything. Not even a single penny. NOTHING. She even sent us a confirmation and transaction receipt of a wire transfer she made to our bank account in the amount of $640,000 back on April 13th. She called me immediately after sending it, and I told her I was going to resign from my sales executive position and work for her and my husband. She completely agreed to that, and said that she would love to have me on board. I asked her specifically if the money was 100% legit, because quitting my six-figure executive position (with full health benefits) was a big financial risk if for some reason that $640K wasn't actually real.  She assured me that the money was sent, and that I should have zero worries. So I resigned. But no money ever came. Nothing.

She sent yet another wire transfer -- with a confirmation and transaction receipt -- a month later on May 12th. And yet again, that money never showed up. Both times she kept telling us "it's on the way... we should have it soon." But we never received a thing. It was all fake. And in the end, when we finally cut our ties and insisted she at least reimburse us for the time and money we put into HER show, per a signed contract, she refused. We even provided her with receipts and documentation for our out-of-pocket costs, and still she has never sent us a single penny. Instead, she showed her true colors by accusing us of harassment and blackmail when we attempted on several occasions to recoup our money.

Our experience with Sophie Zammit is that nothing about her business dealings are legitimate in any way. And she is definitely NOT "an extraordinarily kind, sweet human being." Rather, she took advantage of our time, our resources, and the hard work that we put into a project that was dedicated to helping troubled teens.

In a nutshell, this woman spent four months assuring us REPEATEDLY that the money was coming. Over and over and over she told us that the money was sent, or would be sent, or was in the process of being sent. On two different occasions, she sent us actual bank confirmations of wire transfers to our bank account. And on both occasions, the transactions ended up being cancelled (which she didn't admit to us until weeks later, with no real explanation). She sounded so convincing, urging my husband to keep moving forward with the project, that there were "no worries" and no need to stress. Of course no money ever came. Nothing. Nada. In this website we've provided dozens and dozens of texts, messages, voice messages, and emails from Sophie assuring us that she's "doing the transfer today" or "just finishing up" or "is taking care of it," or "will be looking into it." For four months my husband spent considerable time and money getting her project up and running, but never once received a dime from Sophie in return. Not even reimbursement for expenses that came out of his pocket, even though she was contractually obligated to do so.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS WOMAN! Others have come forward saying the same experience happened to them -- that Sophie strung them along for months without any pay, funding, reimbursement, etc. 

"Auto Rehab" is NOT real. It is a means only for her to scam hard working, philanthropic people who collaborate with her on this project. STEER CLEAR from anything having to do with "Ambassador" Sophie Zammit!
