I Bought a gift for a friend and had them ship it to her. The item was sized wrong so she returned the gift for a refund or credit. The item was returned and accepted by the retailer. I know this because of the tracking and proof of delivery provided by UPS.
I waited over a month and did not hear from the retailer. Both of us tried contacting the retailer several times and finally got a response saying they did not get the returned item. I responded with the UPS proof of delivery and got a reply with a "refund confirmation" for $12 on a $129 item.
No explanation was given about the difference. I sent another email protesting the $12 refund and have not heard back from them. My credit card has not been credited with any amount.
I contacted my bank and filed a dispute.
