Soyo Verifyrebates giving me the ripoff rebate runaround. Claims to have sent checks-no checks recieved! (21 weeks so far) Internet
After **21 weeks** I still have not recieved my money on this stupid motherboard (which may be defective, but zipzoomfly.com convinced me not to return the POS because it was free after rebate and I sent in the UPC) I got taken. No more Soyo or zipzoomripoff for me. I write here so that you may also be warned.
From my rebates log:
$160 ($80x2) Rebate for *defective* Soyo for SY-P4I875P DRAGON2 v1.0 mobo bought at zipzoomfly.com. verifyrebate.com . 10-12 weeks from 11-16-04. (Scans and submissions saved in rebates folder) Delivered via USPS certified mail on 11-17-04. Tracking #:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Checked online 12-31-04: status of both is approved.
Checked online 1-14-05: status of both rebates is still approved.
Checked online 2-2-5: status for both is still approved.
Checked online 2-26-05: status for both is still approved. Emailed requests to both soyo and verifyrebate. Will call soyo and zipzoomfly soon.
Called 909-292-2528 CSR could find both rebates for $80. Sending out within two weeks. CSR: Krystal transferred from Maria's extension (x2528)
3-22-05: Checked online. Said Check (Gift) sent.
4-11-05: No check yet. Online still says Check sent.
4-19-05: No check yet. Called 909-292-2528. (Verify Rebate) number. CSR: Rachel put me on hold to look for the rebate. Says rebate checks were mailed March 18th. Says I have to wait 60 days until they can reissue a check. Says she will talk to accounting and then call back or email.
Ya...I'll be waiting by the phone.
