In August two friends and I both all purchased the following from Tiger Direct;

Soyo K7VME Socket A Barebone w/ 52x,Key,Mouse,Spk (S450-3200) with promise of 90.00 in combined rebates from Soyo. To this day none of us still have not recieved one cent from Soyo.

All of us sent a email to Soyo requesting the status of the rebates,two went unanswered and the one was answered. They stated I sent in the wrong UPC numbers. (Yeah right)

I still have the originals here from the box,and sent them copies which made no difference apparently, as they never bothered to reply again.

The company does have a number you can call, but you will not get to speak to anyone,just a recording to leave your phone number,which is useless. All the same, here it is;

From what I have been reading after reading up on the internet about this company and their rebate ripoffs, it is a massive problem,and I think something needs to be done with Soyo,whom I have heard is going bankrupt.

I do believe none of us will ever see the money,as it is now January of 2005. I will take it as a lesson learned,and continue to warn people like you reading this to never purchase a thing from Soyo,and I would also recommend avoiding Tiger Direct too. They will brush you off and tell you it is Soyos problem.

Well...it was pretty obvious right from the problematic daily, no hourly, changing online advertising that these guys were trying to weasel. Why didn't you send both UPC's? We did. Obvious potential problem. We sent in both UPC's on 2 systems in early July 2004. We got fully approved. Doesn't matter whether you're approved or not, you still don't get paid...LOL>>!! It's now February 22, 2005 and we haven't received a cent (from Soyo..??!!:)). LOL...so guess it really doesn't matter...aaahhhaaaahhaa the Prez of Soyo screwed you up front then flipped you over an did you again....aaaahhhhaaaahaaa

Here is the hitch folks, on the box your Soyo barebones came in, there were two UPC codes, one being a sticker and the other being integrated into the box, whichever one you sent they will obviously not approve, and if they bother to reply to you, they will tell you it was the other, which no doubt you no longer have unless you are lucky, mostly due to the fact you probably copied the one you sent in and threw out the box, as my friends and I did.
