Spiegel Catalog I hate Spiegel, They are rude, smug and most of all INCOMPETENT New York, New York New York
This saga with Spiegel began at the end of March of this year. Yes, I know it's hard to believe....it's now almost August. I ordered a dress for a wedding and subsequently returned it in April with all tags intact. I never wore the dress! I tracked it's return on UPS and even followed up with a phone call to make sure they received it. Weeks later I was still calling them re: the credit. My credit card came due & I called the company to explain what had happened with Spiegel. My card co. put it the charge in dispute. Two months went by and no credit. To summarize this, I paid the credit card company (remember I sent back the item) and now Spiegel wants to get paid as well. I've logged approximately 60 hours on the phone with them all to no avail. They have sent me a collection notice and fully intent on destroying my credit. When you call (call center in Canada) they are so rude and smug that you feel like screaming. I have even conference called with my card company rep. on line and they explained to Spiegel reps. that I was already charged by the card company but it falls on deaf ears. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM SPIEGEL THAT YOU MIGHT NEED TO RETURN. The card company told me and them that they already creditited Spiegel earlier this month, but they are still insisting that I pay again. So, for a dress that cost approx. $70 I would now be paying about $200. This is a dreadful company and they have no customer service at all as far as I'm concerned.
