Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We were subbed by Purple Heart Moving Group to Spirit in May 2018 for a move from Indiana to Florida.  Guaranteed that we would have a 5 star  mover.  Didnt realize that we had a 1 star until after the move (thank you Purple Heart)

When the movers came to our house, we had a damaged door from  one person taking a heavy safe out of the house which he denied and we had questioned his safety.  He said his supervisor would call us (Eli, we still have not received your call).  After all was on the truck and they left, we discoved the followong:  $760 removed from a closed suitcase, missing medication, items clearly in an are "not to be moved"  including ammo clearly marked AMMO and a hunting bow.  We also received  a higher bill than we were told.

Ammunition is illegal for a moving company to transport.

I spoke with John, the manager, immediately and he was insulting and argumentative,  denying,  asking me if we had taken a picture of the ammunition in the box.  I said no, it was illegal to be transported by them.  He also stated that we should not have money "laying around"  I stated that it was not and I didn't expect even a dime to be taken frm my home by his employees.   No answer.

we also were missing perhaps the most troubling thing, a locked box with personal information:  SS cards, deeds, licenses.  So now it's also identity theft.

Upon arrival of our items in Florida,  with a different driver who told us he had heard of  "trouble" with the  movers from the Indiana, here is what we found:  missing boxes, items scratched, legs broken off furniture,  legs from our entertainment center found in a taped up box,  broken antique dishes,  other pitems not belonging to us and no hunting bow and no ammuntion in the empty AMMO box.

We filed claims with Spirit and were informed we would have to pay for an appraisal of missing and damaged items.  We were offerd $300 for our "trouble" by John.  Apparently after several customers filed complaints about our Indiana mover/thief,  he was fired.  We have received nothing from Purple Heart or Spirit.  We filed police reports, spent hours dealing with identity theft and have spent hundreds on attorney fees to no avail

If you are subbed to Spirt Van Lines from Norcross, Ga.  REFUSE.    Prevent your heartbreak.

WE have learned the following:  document  every item that goes into your boxes,  film the movers and stay with them every minute,  do your due diligence when being subbed out and make sure you are indeed getting a five star mover as we did not do that.  After all, why would a company run by vets lie to you?
