Last month or so, I got a letter from Springleaf Financial Services and I asked them to remove my information from their database and they had agreed to do so.  I have no desire to get any kind of loan and don't know how they got my information.  They say it takes so many days to remove someone from their database or put them on a do not mail list.  I don't see how hard it is to put me on the list.

 

Today comes and I get another letter from them.  I ask for Mary J Beatty, the branch manager and I get two different reasons why she's out.  One was she was out for the day where another said she was out for two months.  I asked the first time what part of get me off the list don't ya understand and they hung up.  

 

I called back using their 1-800 number and asked for Mary J Beatty and got hung up again.  I called again and finally got someone and asked if I can speak to Mary. they had no clue as to who Mary is.  I asked them for a company directory and just got an answering machine.  

 

I then called the same number I originally called and got some guy.  In this conversation, I asked him if he knew how long it takes for my name to get off their lists and he didn't know.  Anyone working for a legitimate company would know that answer.  

 

I decided to have some fun with this guy.  I told him, I want to know by the close of business Monday how long it takes or two things will happen, 1) you give me the $4250 since I still got this letter and 2) I'll report to the BBB.  He agreed and took my name, number, and address.

 

He said I was treating him like a child, but if the guy doesn't know how to do his job, I would want to know that he gets educated on something a normal person should know.

 

I expect a call back Monday, the 14th of 2014, is he, I highly doubt it.
