SPRINT LD SERVICE is a consumer rip-off fraud. PHOENIX, Arizona
I was called by A Sprint Telemarketer back in November 2001 who told me that if I switched my LD Carrier over to SPRINT I would be getting .7 per minute, 7 days a week and 24 hrs a day and no hidden monthly charges.
I took the bate and went with them. I received my first monthly bill in december for over $185 for calls I made from Tempe AZ to St. Paul MN. After contacting Sprint Customer Service, we have come to an agreement that they would take off $114 off my bill and for me to pay the balance I agreed and then the following month it was never taken off the bill and then the next bill came and it was even higher.
Now it's up to $200+ and they told me after the third time calling them that ut was qwest's fault and I needed to deal with them. sprint at this time was charging me .25-.85-1.25 per minute per call to the Twin Cities.
I work for a major telephone company and know first hand that the consumer is to first contact the carrier and then call their local phone company and have a pending adjustment made. That never happened either.
This nightmare bill I have now is being handled by a collection agency and guess what! They wanted us to pay that bill. Mark, my husband told them to send it to us in writing and they said they couldn't do that.
I now after paying Sprint what I felt was fair, a total of $39.95 for LD Qwest took and put a block on my LD calls so I had to buy a LD card (calling card) so I can contact my son back home in Minnesota.
We have been not only SLAMMED by this Company, but now it's going on my credit report. I am planning on filing charges against Sprint and their affiliates, contacting The Attorney Generals Office, News Media and Local Paper.
I welcome anyone who will do the same and make these people pay for what they're doing to usto contact their BBB, and whoever they can to spread the word. I'm not afraid to put my name in this article I will fight this all the way To Supreme Court if I have to,
