I signed up for Sprint services for a 12 month commitment. During this time I was forced to purchase 4 phones after each one quit. Each time, was told would have to send to 1) Kyocera (twice), Samsung. Running businesses via laptop and cell phone and traveling extensively, had no choice.
Shut down business for period phone was in to be repaired or buy another and get a credit for old phone. After 3rd phone went into roam only mode, and I was billed accordingly, I was talked into a vision phone. After another 'out of pocket purchase', found the new vision also was in roam only mode. Turns out after a wind storm, Sprint realigned the cell antenna to optimize signal to majority of its local customers, which turned my signal off.
I called Sprint, the retailer, etc, and was told quite rudely, that they were disconnecting my service. THEY breached the terms of my agreement with them, billed me for 2 weeks roam only service (SOme $300.00), took my deposit of $125.00, and to date have not refunded some $800 or so for the 3 phones returned, and the vision phone also returned.
I am out $125.00 DEPOSIT
$300.00 ROAMING CHARGES for originally local service.
$129.00 KYOCERA 2255 phone returned
$ 59.00 KYOCERA 2255 (2nd one returned)
$180.00 SAMSUNG 400 phone returned in roam only mode
$280.00 SAMSUNG COLOR VISION PHONE returned
$1073.00 TOTAL RIPOFF.
I have neither received phones, credit, or even an excuse from these folks.
I am totally surprised that these types of business practices can be tolerated by our elected government representatives and allowed to continue. Either Sprint is making some enormously high political contributions, or they are secretly based in Texas, probably next door to Enron.
