Sprint PCS Rip-off Charges calls not made, offers free wireless web & charges for it, poor customer service, Abuses customers locked into a contract that cost $100 to get out of.
I have had Sprint PCS since March and was an advocate on their behalf. My niece moved in and I bought her a phone for $150. and signed her up for the service as well. She was afraid of going over her anytime minutes, so she hardly used them. On Sunday she made calls on the off peak time, and Sprint computed her using peak time (anytime minutes). She went to the store and came home crying because they were rude to her, and she only had the phone for 20 days and because of this she did not want it anymore. They would not take the phone back, and she discontinued her service there.
When she bought her phone, the sales person offered wireless web for three months free. I mentioned that I was interested in trying it if it was for free, and he said I can have it for three months free as well. When I received my bill, I was charged for wireless web and there was nothing free about it. I called and explained that I was told it was free, and the customer service said it can not be taken off the bill. This was their employee's mistake and I have to pay because I have a contract. I would not have tried the wireless web, if I would have known I would be charged for it. It is $20.00 because two months was put on the bill.
The company advertises so much and is very nice and great for selling, but once they have a customer's money the customer is no longer important. My only revenge for now, is that I was able to deter my job from considering Sprint cell phones.
