Having been a happy Sprint PCS and Sprint long distance customer for several years, I was very surprised and disappointed to be cheated and lied to by Sprint PCS. In addition, other than a long, futile telephone call, offering me a $20.00 credit, it has been impossible to reach anyone with any authority.

I purchased a Sprint/Samsung Palm Phone about two years ago. It is an excellent tool, but the charging cord for the car does not fit properly in the phone. Every 3 or 4 months I have to go to a Sprint PCS store to replace it. I have become acquainted with most of the employees in the Knoxville store, about 35 miles from my home.

About 6 weeks ago I went to the store to get a replacement cord. When I walked in, I was surprised to see that not one person who had been there a month before was there. Even the Manager, who knew h*o to provide professional customer service, was gone. When I asked about him, I was told; "His time was up." After waiting at least 30 minutes in a long line, it was my turn and I asked to have the cord replaced.

The clerk said she would take it in the back and have a technician look at it. In about 3 minutes she returned and said; "we found another cord in the back." I thanked her and went on my way. About half way home I plugged the cord in and discovered that she had given me the same cord back. I know that because there were a few chips on the label that was on the plug.

I attempted to call the President of Sprint PCS, only to find that the executive team of Sprint is protected as well as the Presidenof the United States. I have spoken to my Congressman and U.S. Senator, but I could not contact anyone in authority with Sprint PCS.

I left an e-mail message for a Senior Vice Presidentbecause his e-mail address was linked to their website. After 14 daus, I received a telephone call from someone in Dallas, the Vice President is located in Kansas City. I was on my way to an appointment and asked to be called back after 1:30pm, eastern time. I was assured that I would be called then. At 4:30pm, the next day I received a call and was offered a #20.00 credit.

I explained that I had already returned to the store and received a new cord. However the new Manager told me I would have to wait in line and then he quickly told me that his employee would never do what I explained had been done to me. After 10 minutes of discussion, I finally received a new cord.

When I told the person on the phone that I really wanted to speak to the VIce President that I had e-mailed, I was told that he is too busy to spaek with customers. I explained that we had three Sprint PCS phones, mine cost $500.00 originally and I have given Sprint PCS more than $5000.00 in the past 16 months. Also, I had referred my Church to Sprint PCS and they purchased 7 phones.

It has been 3 weeks now and I have found another company that understands and delivers positive Customer Service.
