Blair, and anyone else who might want to know: I would in no way like to defend or support the practices of SprintPCS representatives who mislead their customers. I, in fact, work for a competitor of theirs. I would, however, like to point out that most, if not all, wireless companies will bill you at the peak time rate for the duration of a call that began during that time. I don't like it either, but the systems don't seem to be able to handle a billing rate change during a call. I am writing this to inform as well as to let potential wireless customers know that at the company I work for, which I will not name since it would seem like advertising, I, and the people I work with, make an attempt to inform customers of that BEFORE the sale takes place. It saves a lot of time later, and keeps the store a much more peaceful and friendly environment.
