Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Since November of 2001, I have been a Sprint PCS customer. My first negative experience was in the plan I chose. Not at all realistic, however I attempted to change it calling C/S. Wow, I have to pay $3.00 to talk to a rep. Unfair. I am convinced by this rep. that I can't change my plan at this time. I asked about my $30.00 rebate & was given a # to call. That # charges $1.99 per min. No thanks.

After months of contacting SprintPCS, I now have upgraded my plan to what should be suitable. This occurred about 1mo. ago.

On approx May 8th, I paid my bill in full ($56.00) One day later I accessed my acct. on the Internet & my balance is $105.00.

I called to talk to C/S ($3.00 charge again) and I req. a detailed invoice. I have req. it on 2 other occasions and still have no record of the calls I am being billed for. I am told to access through Internet but that page states text page expired. I want to have detailed info. on my call charges. I feel cheated to say the least.

My service was disconnected 6/11/02 for non-payment. I will continue to be billed although I have no service. Today my bill is now $156.00 & I don't know why. I won't even call them. They don't know what they are talking about& are very poorly trained to deal with consumers. They lie & are the epitomy of Customer Service.

My rebate was recieved about 2 weeks ago. That was 7 months after I purchased my phone.

I feel frustrated and somewhat helpless. I will not give in to Sprint's abusive business practices. I tell everyone I know about them. They are despicable, cheaters & ripp-off creeps. Hopefully, enough people will band together & go after them for compensation. I feel like I have been financially raped.

The attitude Don has displayed is the very reason Sprint PCS's Customer Care Division is being criticized. Thanking you Don for proving everyone's point.

...They're the ones who have gotten Sprint sued or investigated by almost 30 Attorney General's offices. Direct your complaint directly to the offices of Mr. Charles Levine, President, Sprint PCS at 913-624-3000. Maybe if Charlie's office has to field enough calls, they'll consider changing their shady practices.

In response to your complaint, the reason you were charged the $3.00 fee is because your account is considered a 'self-service' account. You have the option of using the * codes to get information, you have the option of accessing the website, you have the option to make your payments over the phone thru the automated system without incurring any charges. The reason for the 'self-service' account is: 1) You are credit challenged. (This is not necessarily because you don't pay your bills, it could also be because you are a young adult that hasn't established any credit history.) 2) To be on this type of account means that you don't have to put up a several hundred dollar deposit (which a lot of the other companies charge). Okay, the reason why the rep you were talking to suggested that you not change your plan immediately is because your minutes would be prorated. This means that if you have, for example purposes only...a plan that has 600 anytime minutes, your bill cycle begins on the 1st of the month, you call in and want to change on the 10th of the month and you have used, say, 400 minutes, this would cause you to be charged overage on 200 minutes. (You have about 20 minutes per day, averaged, so 20 min X 10 days is 200 minutes). Now then, if you stay under your plan minutes and make the change close to the end of your bill cycle, you will avoid these charges. Detailed bill, your bill comes out once per month, no more-no less, if you want to see the detail of the calls request a detailed bill. Being billed for no service, you agreed to keep your part of the contract agreement. If you become delinquent, your service is interrupted, the reason for it interrupting at a specific amount is to prevent you from running up a bill that you wouldn't be able to pay. After a certain amount of time, these charges stop and your account is credited for the charges (that you were billed for in advance) after the account goes into a non-paid disconnect status. If your account is still not brought current it then goes into a final status and you are charged the cancellation fee, because you haven't kept your part of the agreement. This information is readily available on the back of the first page of your bill and on the website. As far as feeling frustrated and helpless.... let me tell you what goes on at the other end of that phone line. I am sitting there trying to explain to you your bill. You (not personally) won't listen to my explanation. You interrupt, you personally attack me verbally. I have been brought to tears several times because trying to help someone and they berate me, curse me, etc and I cannot hang up on you. It's quite hard having to listen to this and be nice to the next person that calls in. But I do it, because I care about my customers. Next time you want to rant and rave.... think about the human on the other end of that phone, it could be your daughter, son, mother or father that is sitting there. I hope you will listen and be receptive to my comments. Thank you for choosing Sprint PCS.

So what Don is saying here is that everyone who has "bad credit" is going to be charged $3 to speak to customer service, while everyone else with good credit can speak to customer service for free anytime they wish. THAT is discrimination! And that just proves my point more that SPRINT SUCKS and makes me want to get rid of them more when my contract is up.

Dear Don, With your attitude, it's no wonder you are no longer employed with Sprint. In the area of customer service, the only award you would seem to be capable of winning would be the treasured "pink slip". From this post and your others re: Sprint, I would venture to guess that a field in which you might excel would be collections/repossessions. You have all the requisite qualities: arrogance, rudeness and a supreme indifference to the customer. Blow it out your old tan track, Don, and keep checking those classifieds. Maybe you can get a Rancho Cucamonga address too, unless you are currently occupying a dumpster on Wilshire Blvd. I'll bet Enron would be impressed.

I also deal with Sprint unfortunatly for my residential service and DSL service. I was told it was 9.95 to get started with my DSL and that was only the shipping charge for the modem. Well when I received my phone bill it was 312.00!!! $199.00 for the modem, $5.00 for earthlink and numerous other charges! I was told I would receive everything free the first money just for trying it! Of course I called and chewed them out and she attempted to tell me it was a misunderstanding......... BULL! I made it clear that I would try it if I ONLY had to pay the 9.95 shipping fee! Sprint does suck and not affraid to tell anyone! I have also had phone line problems outside of my house since I moved in here!! ( 1 yr. ago ) The workman has told me it is the phone line on the street casing the problem. Their over 50 yrs. old...... know what they did about it? NOTHING! So if they want to give me poor service then I will call them over any little problem I have with my phone until they decide to get off their cheap azzez and fix it!Sprint does not even have a office in this city, its somewhere in VA.!!! So Don, go brown nose them some more! If Alltel or Bellsouth wants to bring their services into my city........ I will be the first to sign up!!
