In 2001 Sprint, my then cell carrier would not provide me with a working phone. My phone was under warranty and was defective. Sprint sent me three refurbished phones, all three were defective and non operational. In my opinion due to the damaged state, an authorized technician could have never looked at them (I have a degree in computer science and fix electronics daily).

This was over the period of 6 weeks which I had no service. Sprint refused to provide me with a working phone. Furthermore, they billed me for that month period but would not provide me a phone that would even place a call. That in it self violated their own Terms of Service (TOS). Who ever herd of such a thing, billing a customer for a service they could not use because they refused to get a working cell phone under warranty to a customer.

At that time I spoke to a supervisor and she agreed, I could cancel my account without incurring any fees for not ending the contract due to their mistake. My contract was terminated because I proved they violated their own TOS. I also would like to note that I posses two of the defective phones to this day to prove my story. I also would like to interject that this account has been closed since 2001 and was never reported to any of the three credit agencies until May 2005 nor was I ever billed.

It is well known Sprint is in financial trouble and is looking to collect on any debt true or false. Further more I would like to add that Calvary Portfolio Services (the collector) is a well known bunch of scammers that a failing Sprint is desperately clinging to, to create revenue any way they can get it. Dishonest or not
