I have an account thru Verizon I am the account holder . I recently allowed a relative to transfer a phone number from Verizon to sprint I was told I would not be charged anything .i received my Verizon bill and had extra charges over 500.00 on my bill.the sprint buyout program was to refund this but I was told it would go to the owner of the number which is wrong. If your buying out Verizon service then it should go to account holder .. the person who has to pay the bill ... not the person who has the number thru sprint now.. don't you realize that Verizon account members are charged early buyout fees plus charges for the device as well

Your issue is with your relative not Sprint. If you made an arrangement with your relative that you would let them get another carrier and pay you any assoicated fees, it doesn't matter what Sprint was "supposed" to do or what you "think" they should do. That is between your relative and Sprint.

Sprint is going to send any rebate or credit to THEIR account holder, not whoever may have paid the bills before from a different carrier.  It is up to your relative to then turn that money over to you.

As for the device. Again, that is something you are owed by your relative. If Sprint's Buyback program does not include the device then your relative needs to come up with the money.
