St. Luke Integrative Medical Center - Huntsville AL IS A CON AND A SCAM. THEY ARE NOT PART OF ST LUKE'S HOSPITAL. DON'T GIVE THEM A PENNY. DISHONEST. AND VERY PUSHY Huntsville Alabama
The St. Luke Integrative Medical Center in Huntsville Alabama is a Con and a Scam. First they are dishonest as they not affiliated with St. Luke's Hospital system in any way even though they say they are and they try to con you into thinking they are part of St. Luke's. They are also not affiliated with St. Jude's Hospital system, I checked. They are just a doctor's office using the good name of great hospitals to con you into believing that they are more than what they are in reality, a scam.
Second, Dr Ortega MD does not even have hospital privledges at any Huntsville or Madison AL hospital. Third, they wanted to charge me over $22,000 for my neuropathy treatments. Fourth they were extremly pushy and demanded an answer that day claiming they only had one opening and I had to make a decision on the spot. When I told them I wanted a second opinion they belittled me. They berrated me for a decison to start immediately. This made me very uncomfortable as I think that any medical procedure should be thought about.
This place is a con and a scam, a cancer on the good name of St. Luke's Hospital.

To: Anonymous Pardon me for not responding earlier as I have only recently been made aware of your post. I am dismayed that you left our treatment center with so much misunderstanding. Please allow me to clarify your concerns. Our name was carefully selected to not conflict with any other medical center in North Alabama. There is no St. Luke's or other "Saint named" Hospital in our region. We are a neuropathy treatment center and are proud of our results. We have many satisfied customers who have been through our program as you can see in our testimonials. We recognize each person is different and customize the program to fit their needs and responses. Our price point which is far,far less than you claim was carefully selected to maximize the number of patients to participate. Consequently, we are often limited in the number of treatment slots available. We do our best to accommodate everyone who wants to participate. I encourage you to obtain second opinions with regard to any health concerns and am happy to refer you to another physician of the appropriate specialty if you so desire. I am proud of the technology that we have brought to North Alabama and our staff are kind, friendly and well trained. They are very experienced in using it for the maximum benefit of our patients. Lastly, although I did serve on active staff in the Emergency Department at Huntsville Hospital for 13 years, I left in 2009 for broader horizons. I am currently on active staff in other hospitals in Alabama and Nevada. I welcome you to return and consider joining us if you have not found relief elsewhere.
